Located on the Columbia Plateau in Central Washington, the Yakima is the longest river entirely in Washington state, flowing 214 miles from Keechelus Lake to the Columbia River near West Richland.

The longest river entirely in Washington state is the Yakima River.Named after the indigenous Yakama people, the river flows 214 miles from its headwaters at Keechelus Lake in the Cascade Range down to its confluence with the Columbia River near Richland.
