I have not left the building, just moved to another mansion, as they say in the bible. This is the headline, the articles will follow as always.

I have now been in my one downstairs room for a few days, it is the first usable room in my house since June 2018. It's a lovely room, new carpet and curtains (not actually up), and currently a bed sit. I have a TV in the lounge opposite the sofa as well until the builder complains.

I am half way through my postgrad certificate course now, a third of a master's which I am taking one module at a time rather than committing myself to all of them. My essay is in the system for marking in a week so won't make any predictions.

David, one usable room (plus a T.V. in the lounge) is better than living elsewhere. And, at least there is progress!

Good luck for the essay. What is its subject?

Congrats on having one livable room! I empathize with living thru a house rebuild. How's your cat doing with all that is going on around you?

The cat's delighted. He now has a nice room and some of his furniture back, and has been purring and sleeping on each one in turn.

The essay is the role of psychology in criminal investigations and prevention. Luckily half of the unit was material I have come across at work and college before so was far better prepared than for the pure criminal investigation unit previously which was all new to me. Maybe I was a detective in a previous life as it all seems so familiar to me.

I have been to my first spiritual meeting for years, Connecting Consciousness headed by Simon Parkes. I finally got to meet him after watching him online for years. Here is the recording which just came out, at 1.12 onwards you can see me on the left of the stage by the pillar.

Because of my hobby of taking photos for the UK/Ireland map at www.geograph.org.uk and old road signs I have travelled more this year than I have since 1998. I don't stay overnight as I can't be bothered, otherwise I could have gone twice as far, but the record is a 182 mile trip (point to point) to Filey, only spoiled as I left late and got there when it was dark, but once you've got most of the way it's too late to give up and do it all over again.

As of course the map is limited that's my lot for now, there are a few other journeys I can do next year for records but won't extend my total distance as being tucked away in the south I only have 60 or so miles to go in that direction before I reach the Channel. My trip over there was stopped as since the hovercraft was shut down I will only use the tunnel, and because of the hot weather many days had either long delays or were either full or cancelled throughout the summer, so if I go it will be next spring before it gets either hot or so busy. But as I didn't go I went to Filey instead which was actually quite a bit further.

My course finishes at the end of the year, being modular we have cumulative marks and the more we do the more we have collected to the end. If I get through by then I will have a break and do the next module later next year which is the same as this one with three different subjects. Being dark earlier, colder and intermittent heavy rain my indoor phase is coming along, well earned and a time to relax and finish my course.

I'm still keeping busy. The work is going nicely at my late father's house, but the roof is damaged inside and apart from a two week extra job the bill was not logical for the work that needs doing. Par for the course unfortunately. Nothing can be done here till then as it's the same people doing both, and as the plug socket circuit blew two weeks ago I had to move everything into the lounge and connect to the cable the builders use for their tools.

I am 2/3 through the course, three units and just sent off the assignment at the end of the second. The third starts in three weeks so I can lounge around for a while, it's the school holidays all over again. The photo season is officially over, I found a sign online from 2009 over the weekend and had nothing else to do so went to the edge of Salisbury Plain in case. It had gone, but I went late, it rained the whole time and got dark when I got there so didn't get many decent photos, but spent the time coming home getting night shots of lit up buildings which made some good results. When I got home I discovered the spot had also been photographed in 2015 without the sign, but it was a nice day out and a fitting end to the 2019 season. There are no more long trips planned or required as I've filled the map from Devon to Yorkshire, but I will go back to Wales for another Ordnance Survey map square next year and the delayed visit to France as the heat cancelled many of the trains this summer.

The builders have been at the other house for weeks, I saw a lot of work had been done the last time I went so can only hope it's getting done as nothing is here. The course continues till February, going well so far and just over 2/3 done. Otherwise nothing much new, still taking photos till it gets dark just after 4pm every week even though it's been raining nearly every time, and following Victor around with a damp cloth...

2019 was one of the busiest years for ages. Starting my online degree, travelling most of England and a bit of Wales, and meeting one of my online heroes after joining his spiritual group. The house is a running sore on the body of life and can only hope next year sees it finished, as at present I have lost nearly everything I own and am relying solely on one person to sort it out.

Victor had his first visits with me to the vet as he had runny eyes which are now fixed, and has a clean bill of health at 16, although he will need to be sedated to clean his teeth next. He was so pleased to be home he has followed me everywhere ever since (more than usual that is).

I have taken photos of new places right through the year including most weeks in December, and have plans for the next few months as the days get longer. I now have three weeks off the course although everything is available for the last unit online so I can read ahead. I have also met a new friend locally on Twitter who I will be meeting soon, however much time I spend on the internet this actually happens very rarely. The usual people for new year's are busy tomorrow so am having my regular visitor on her own as we're both at a loose end and expect nearly everyone else is busy or they'd have asked to come as well. I also have a friend coming from Hampshire on Wednesday so have plenty going on for now and then hopefully some time ahead to relax.

Loose ends have a habit of being tied up together, that is part of my phase/frequency observation that certain energies move and take us along with them. In the coming month I have my 60th birthday (the party the previous weekend), the end of my course, Brexit at last at the end of the month, and with any luck the builders returning here from my other house they destroyed 'by accident' and had to rebuild as well.

The dark and weather mean I go and get photos every week or two, and can happily work indoors the rest of the time as there's plenty to do including my studying. I decided as it's a big birthday to invite a few people online I hadn't seen for decades simply to return the past, just as my group did who held a disco 40 years after the last one in the same hotel with the same DJ. A few hundred turned up from all over the world. I can't name names but one is actually a new politician who is very busy but will come if he's available, and an actress. Only the cat will be absent as he'll be at home, as quite a few people like to see him as well. And I forgot one more landmark, in four weeks I am added to the list of my 20th anniversary here, 17th of February, when my free AOL disc trial began on my very old computer, which actually used my AOL email they gave me (I knew nothing) and due to a long forgotten glitch ended up changing it to satguru after a year in the forums. Back then we could have different quiz and forum names and again when there was a site problem instead of knowing what to do I opened a new account on the quiz side for satguru and left the other one behind by accident. But a lot of old members have done the same thing, some when the site crashed and had to recover their accounts with new names as I think I had to once. If anyone's curious it was from Ramana Maharshi's books on the true spiritual teacher, which is your own. No one can decide the best teaching except you as there is so much around, so ultimately they all point you back to your own knowledge.

Apart from caves underneath my late father's house (don't ask, but it was excluded from the insurance), my first course of at least two is now finished, at least I've finished it with over a week to hand in the essay, and the result is here by the 24th. I have 11/12ths of the result already as they are added per assignment, so fairly likely of the result, had I not forgotten to count the words on one essay after I changed it I'd have a couple more marks to play with to get a better overall grade but that bird now appears to have flown. But a pass will be good and followed by part 2 later in the year to cover all six of the total subjects in the entire course.

I always did but I added a few things and removed a few and the length looked similar so I forgot. I paid dearly for that.

The results are in, I passed with about 1% below a merit. With the marks I lost it would have been 0.4% below and I don't know if they round up all decimal points which would have been otherwise. But I did well, and scored merits in 2/3 of the units and am now ready to take the diploma later in the year. Online study means we can all do it if we want to.

Thank you! I can now relax for a while and then start again in the autumn. Meanwhile I will see if it's enough to get any work from.

Do you believe that no one truly has psychic powers?

The reverse. We all do, just some people ignore or dismiss them. We are a TV set capable of sending and receiving, and probably a lot more on top, using quantum energy channels.

It is like leaving school all over again, except like the summer holidays I'm free now. I did two long trips each of the last weekends now it gets dark later, and got a bunch of old signs near Bristol yesterday which I've put in the forums. Apart from usual commitments I'm pretty free ahead. and must visit my late father's house to check on the major building work there stopping them from putting my roof back on here. My fridge has finally been delivered so I can store food properly for the first time since they wrecked my old one last year (long story). My medical results all came back healthy so that;'s a major relief for some time ahead now, my surgery and NHS appear to offer quite a lot once you turn 60.

Don't forget my supernatural blog here as well since it's just been raised, I am part of a few groups now, one online in America and one partly in person over here. One element I can well do without is items vanishing from my house, no longer cluttered as nearly everything is in boxes in the garage, and although a few small items have probably fallen down somewhere that's impossible for anything larger which can literally disappear from a shelf in a second when I turn round. These sort of things happened occasionally but now are all in a bunch and there's no one else here who could have done it.

You have items vanish from your house.
I lose things around my house, but my wife tells me that I just forgot where I put them.
