Subject: Your age when you read the first book?

I ask this because I ordered the first 3 books from my book club, hoping to get my youngest son to start reading. Instead, I was the one hooked, and my daughter, as well. I finished the last book in September-I'm 43.

I got GoF when I was like, four, five, somewhere in that neighborhood. Then I read the first three, then I had to wait for the fifth book! I was hooked. I'll admit that I didn't actually read GoF when I first got it; I read the first part, didn't get it, and waited until I had read the first three. I got the first book from a friend for Christmas when I was in college. She told me how much she liked them I thought she was silly after all they were children's books and we were in college. Until I started reading, then I was hooked and now I swear I need HPA (Harry Potter Annonymous).
