Subject: Song you want played at your funeral.

This is a lot like the "What song do you want to die to" post but just a little different.

For me it would be Time of my life by green day

I think I'd like them to play Billy Joel's 'Lullaby' or Annie Lennox 'Into the West'

I really don't know. I haven't come up with one though I've thought about it. I might leave it to my husband to decide. When his father died he chose to play "Row on, Row on". It was very apt as well as very moving because his father had been in the navy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smBuJMzBCJQ

Or maybe Bach's "Air on a G String" because it's not sad I think it's serene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS-HWIFyLsE

I can rule out these by Chopi and Ravel - very beautiful but far too sad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiwPzHJ-Pic

A Light In The Black by Rainbow, followed by Sinatra's version of The Best Is Yet To Come which incidentally is the epitaph on his gravestone and was the last song he ever sang in public.

And Mahler's 'Resurrection' Symphony, all five movements, with strict instructions that there be no fidgeting amongst the mourners who always had a go at me for liking classical music and even stricter instructions that none of these anti-classical people be allowed to leave.

And as an encore, all 9 Beethoven symphonies.
