Wes, wasn't the lower scoring GC task yours? If so, I should have my photo quiz substitute for your side ticked off (20Q Humanities quiz). Reply #123. Mar 24 20, 12:32 PM |

Fixed - somehow this slipped my attention. I only checked your leg 5 and 6 quizzes today and of course that was #4. Reply #124. Mar 24 20, 2:12 PM |

1nn1, I will ask here as well (so you won't have to click the task thread to answer) - what work did you base your task 6 quiz on? (You can answer openly, everyone has written for 6). A movie was required based "Bringing Up Baby" was a 1938 movie where the screenplay was written for specifically for Katharine Hepburn, who starred with Cary Grant. Also starring was a cheetah called Baby who was a key plot device in this screwball comedy. The Cheetah gave the title and quiz the necessary criteria for the quiz. The question in the quiz about "Bringing Up Baby" was about the movie, not the cheetah/cat. Reply #125. Mar 24 20, 4:20 PM |

Thanks - I got confused about the movies. The title rang a bell with me but I somehow misremembered the species in the film. Reply #126. Mar 25 20, 2:40 AM |

Actually Wes you were probably right. It was a leopard not a cheetah. I had to correct the quiz. thanks Reply #127. Mar 25 20, 6:36 AM |

For task 7, please post in the respective clue thread if you're claiming the time bonus - the way it's set up would make it rather difficult for me to check each and every one... Reply #128. Mar 27 20, 4:38 AM |

Well, after you're done with task 9 is when you should be focusing your energy on the virtual events. Or fill the meter. Or work on commission fission, a recommission, a contract... As long as you folks keep authoring quizzes, we won't stop posting challenges. Reply #132. Mar 31 20, 3:28 PM |

Wesley, I know there are other challenges, and I'm working on them, but nothing gets me motivated like Sprint! And it's fun! BTW, the Cataphonics did meet the photo requirement with Task 8. :D Reply #134. Apr 01 20, 12:00 PM |

Last task on my side has been posted. You'll have to look back at your previous 8 quizzes for this one, so if you are in Team or Standard mode and are not sure which ones of yours counted for every round, please hold off writing until I have scored rounds 7 and 8 (which I will start now). PRELIMINARY scores for legs 7 and 8 due to an issue regarding the eligibility of a quiz. Leg 7 timers 1. Joepetz 1:01 h 2. Two Bears and a Packet of Chips 1:18 h* 3. malik24 1:32 h 4. WesleyCrusher 1:45 h 5. Kankurette 1:51 h 6. kyleisalive 1:58 h 7. rossian 2:08 h 8. The Cataphonics 2:36 h 9. LeMoNracers 3:00 h 10. Fifiona81 4:01 h 11. bernie73 4:02 h 12. spanishliz 7:19 h 13. Blowing in the Wind 24:01 h (*) I believe that one of the two entries by this Brace is noncompliant which would require them to rewrite and take a really bad time here. However I haven't heard back from the author for several days on the issue now, so this score might change drastically. Leg 8 timers 1. kyleisalive 1:04 h 2. rossian 1:06 h 3. If nothing goes completely wrong in the last leg, the medals have pretty much been decided (with a really small chance of silver and bronze swapping places - 1:06 should be a decent buffer if there's no "oops"). 4/5/6 and 11/12 are still within one hour, so there might be some movement there on the last leg. But remember, the main goal is to finish and so far it looks really good for that - with the one very understandable exception. By helping fight Corona on the very front, you're doing more than the rest of us combined, Rowena. Props to you! Reply #139. Apr 01 20, 2:14 PM |

My quiz for Leg 8 is still being written. Even though we already had a qualifying quiz, I wanted to write one too, and finally managed to figure out what to write about. I did hit a wall for a while with Leg 8, which is uncommon - but hey, I'm human :D! Reply #140. Apr 01 20, 2:21 PM |
