Two Bears and a Packet of Chips 21:49 h I had made a typo with the date on one entry, turning a perfect 0:01 into a 24:01 (oops) and the Two Bears entry indeed turned out to be off target. Well, Sharon (zorbascank) has made outstanding times. Once 2 minutes and once 1 minute. Great job, Sharon. Reply #143. Apr 02 20, 11:16 AM |

What is the deadline for having a quiz completed to count for the game? I haven't clicked on Rossian's thread yet, but when I do, I'd like to know what the hard deadline is. Thanks. Reply #144. Apr 03 20, 2:05 PM |

I have to assume the same amount of time is allotted for round 9 as for the other rounds. You max out at 42 hours for the round, but there's a six-day grace period after the game to submit. If you can't write for round 9 by noon on April 5, then you get the penalty time. Reply #145. Apr 03 20, 2:42 PM |

Posting here because my teammate hasn't clicked on Rossian's task yet. I just submitted my quiz for Task 8, "Felines From Hot Climes", in Geography, so when it goes online it will be available to add to the quiz list. Reply #146. Apr 03 20, 2:47 PM |

From the Two Bears... hats off and many thanks to you, Wes and rossian, a mighty effort on your parts despite the plague of cats and dogs that almost reached biblical proportions. Reply #148. Apr 04 20, 3:21 AM |

Actually, anything submitted before Apr 11 noon counts normally (If you click late enough) Reply #149. Apr 04 20, 6:26 AM |

Okay, April 11 is the hard deadline. And hats off to Blowing in the Wind (JanIQ and zorba_scank) for submitting a quiz in Leg 7 in one minute!?! Reply #150. Apr 04 20, 1:59 PM |

I was less speedy than I would have liked, but on the plus side, it's the most writing I've ever done in one sustained period. I believe I visited sixteen categories, leaving only FC, Hobbies, History and Sports. Thanks to Wes and Rossian, though I also hope it's the last cat or dog I see in a while. Also thanks to the editors, that worry I had of stacking up piles of quizzes in the queue never came to fruition. Reply #151. Apr 04 20, 7:39 PM |

Thanks, Wes and Rossian, for another fun challenge and for not including any wrestlers. Also thank you to my teammate JanIQ for doing most of the heavy lifting. If not for being on a team, I would have probably quit midway. Work just fell off a cliff in mid March when 'that which shall not be named' picked up Down Under. Reply #153. Apr 04 20, 11:14 PM |

Thanks to Wes and Rossian for this challenge, and to the many editors who swiftly responded to the many quizzes submitted. And a special thanks to my team mate Sharon for marking wonderful scores. Reply #154. Apr 05 20, 1:59 AM |

It might have felt like hordes of hounds and posses of pussycats, but they were prompts to push you into other directions and inspire you. Writing about dogs and cats directly wasn't part of the plan. Your ingenuity was tested and you rose to the challenge. Bonios and catnip all round! Reply #155. Apr 05 20, 4:42 AM |

A big thanks to Wes and Rossian for a great Sprint. Our team had a good time and we were stumped (initially) more than once but we did rise to the challenge. While we only signed on as a Standard , we completed both sides of the task and submitted 18 quizzes, as a Trace team would do. The LeMoNracers would like to also acknowledge the other Phoenix Rising team in the competition who gave us a run for our money and it will be interesting to see which team won the local derby Reply #159. On behalf of the editors, I'd like to say thanks, too! It's so nice to have full queues of good quizzes, and it's fun to see the different approaches everyone takes to the challenges. It's a joy to be part of the Sprint! Reply #160. Apr 06 20, 8:13 AM |
