Answer: Cato

The gamemakers turned the fallen tributes into wolf muttations. They then chased Cato into the cornucopia. There Katniss managed to push Cato off the cornucopia and into the pack of mutts. They do not kill him but badly mutilate him. Katniss takes pity on him and puts an arrow in his head.
3. Somewhere between the first book and "Catching Fire", the Head Gamemaker of the 74th games is hanged by President Snow. Who is this unlucky gamemaker?

Answer: Seneca Crane

Seneca Crane let both Peeta and Katniss win the 74th Hunger Games. Peeta and Katniss had threatened suicide in an attempt to convince the gamemakers to let them both win because two victors would be better than none. It worked; however it cost Crane his life.
4. In "Catching Fire", which character defies the Capitol and is beaten by peacekeepers in front of Katniss right before she heads into the Quarter Quell? It is revealed in Mockingjay that he was killed during a subsequent interrogation.

Answer: Cinna

Cinna turned Katniss' wedding dress into a mockingjay outfit. President Snow saw the meaning behind the outfit and ordered Cinna's death.
5. Because they are too busy saving Peeta from a poisonous fog, Katniss and Finnick cannot save a victor tribute who runs deeper into the fog, convulses and dies. Who is this character?

Answer: Mags

Mags is an elderly woman who has to be carried around. Peeta had been injured earlier in the games and also had to be carried out of the fog. Finnick was carrying Peeta and Katniss was carrying Mags. However, the fog weakened Katniss to the point where she could no longer carry Mags and Finnick couldn't carry both. Mags said good-bye and walked deeper into the fog.
6. Which tribute to the 50th Hunger Games was pecked to death by pink birds?

Answer: Maysilee Donner

The mockingjay pin was originally Maysilee's. She was friends with Katniss' mother when they were little. She and Haymitch were alliance partners in the arena.

Answer: The Undersees and The Mellarks

Mayor Undersee, his wife and his daughter, Madge were all killed when the Capitol bombed district 12. Madge gave Katniss the mockingjay pin as a good luck charm. It later sparked the revolution. Peeta's parents and brothers were also killed in the bombing, however Peeta was not killed as he had been captured by the Capitol. Gale managed to save his family and Katniss's family in time.
8. After Katniss recovers from Peeta strangling her, she finds out that which character was executed on live television?

Answer: Portia

Portia was Peeta's stylist for the Hunger Games. She, along with almost every other stylist and crew, were executed on television in the hopes of deterring the rebellion. It is mentioned in "Mockingjay" that of 24 pairs of stylists and their crews on Flavius, Venia and Octavia are still alive.
9. Which character accidentally steps on a pod in the Capitol and has his legs blown off?

10. Which character is accidentally pushed by Peeta onto a pod that traps him into a barbed wire net and is then killed by a wave of black tar?

Answer: Mitchell

Peeta had a violent flashback from when he was being tortured by the Capitol. He then attacked Katniss. Mitchell stepped in to protect her, ultimately sealing his fate. Katniss notices a resemblance between Mitchell's death and Rue's because they were both left helplessly trapped in nets.
11. Which member of the TV crew is gets trapped in a ray of light and had their flesh melted off?

Answer: Messalla

Answer: Cressida

Katniss actually sees Finnick get decapitated and decides to use the self-destruction capabilities of the Holo to put the rest out of their misery and also so the lizard-mutts don't follow the survivors. It is not until later that the survivors grieve the loss of these three soldiers. On an interesting note, Annie Cresta has now lost two loved through decapitation: her husband, Finnick, and her partner during her Hunger Games.
14. Perhaps the most tragic death that occurs in the series is this person's, who dies during a rescue mission of the Capitol's children.

Answer: Primrose Everdeen

Katniss witnesses a hovercraft send silver parachutes down to a group of children. The parachutes explode, killing most of them. A team of rebel medics, including Prim, try to heal the rest but more parachutes go off, killing Prim.
15. Who does Katniss shoot with an arrow during President Snow's execution?

Answer: President Coin

After a conversation with Snow, Katniss realizes that he could not have planned the attack on the children and Prim because the Capitol doesn't have any hovercraft left and Snow only kills strategically. He tells Katniss that Coin must have planned the attack to frame him in order to turn his allies against him. Katniss remembers a conversation between Gale and Beetee in which Gale says that the rebels should attack the Capitol once and wait for help to arrive and then bomb again, just like the Capitol did to District 8. Katniss is angered by this, but she knows that Gale would never have allowed Prim to go to the Capitol and only Coin could have ordered such a thing.

She kills Coin for revenge.
