"The Murders in the Rue Morgue" by Edgar Allan Poe is a great blend of mystery and horror.

This is one of Poe's stories of revenge and it's wonderfully gruesome.

This is a typical story by Ambrose Bierce, who was anything but a typical author. He was a cynical storyteller and a master of irony.

I am building a koi pond and it is a great learning experience. I can't think of a more interesting addition to a landscape.

Ambrose Bierce seems to have been very eccentric and most of his stories deal with death. "The Boarded Window" is one of his better known works.

This is my first quiz and I have selected a classic story about the struggle between good and evil, "The Bottle Imp".
