Gus's job at the pharmaceutical company was in jeopardy after his boss instructed him to choose between it and Psych. Gus was torn, but intimidated easily, and agreed to sign a paper of accommodation. Fortunately, the boss higher in the food chain needed the boys to help him with his "haunted" house. They solved his problem and Gus was allowed to continue moonlighting at Psych. Difficulty: Hard.

Mean old Mr. Fuller was first mentioned in the 1987 flashback. The boys lost a ball over in his yard and Shawn sent Gus after it. When Gus was unable to get back over the fence, Shawn abandoned him. Shawn later found out that Gus' parents felt he was a bad influence on their son. When Shawn and his dad went caroling with Gus and his parents, they found the old man hanging from his second floor railing. It looked like a suicide, but Shawn quickly nixed that idea from the clues he found at the scene. Difficulty: Hard.

Shawn told the chief that he's had psychic abilities has long has he can remember. The chief wonders why Shawn would lie about when they started, Shawn cleverly explains that it seems like he had them forever. Shawn was just really glad that his dad covered for him. Difficulty: Hard.

Of the choices, only the correct answer was an actual judge for "American Duos". Tim Curry played Nigel, the Simon Cowellesque judge of the series. Nigel was being stalked by a contestant named Bevin, who also happened to be the biggest fan of another judge, Zapato Dulce. It turned out that Zapato and Bevin were trying to kill Nigel. Zapato Dulce, which translates into "sweet shoe", was played by Christian De La Fuente, and actress Gina Gershon played an overdone Paula Abdulesque character named Emilina Saffron.

For the competition, Shawn and Gus offered a hilarious rendition of "Shout" by Tears for Fears. Gus was dressed like a mid 1980s Michael Jackson and Juliet provided their choreography. Difficulty: Easy.

Gus' pharmaceutical knowledge comes in handy during a lot of cases. Difficulty: Easy.

Played by James Roday, the brilliant yet immature detective has taken on the challenge of pretending to be psychic with absolutely no psychic powers whatsoever! He is able to fool the police department into thinking he is psychic because of his amazing powers of observation his father taught him. Difficulty: Very Easy.

 

Carlton Lassiter, Adrian Masters, Bryan Thatchell

Carlton was demoted in "No Trout About It" to a beat cop and Shawn tried to help him get his mojo back by seizing Juliet's briefing from her in "S.I.E.Z.E. the Day". Carlton did as Shawn suggested and in doing so announced his full name as Carlton Jebediah Lassiter. After hearing what Lassiter had called himself, Shawn thought Lassiter was wrong about his middle name. Difficulty: Hard.

Cybill Shepherd played Doctor Madeleine Spencer, a psychiatrist that works with police departments. Madeleine showed up in town and revealed to Shawn that she wanted the divorce and not Henry. Difficulty: Easy.

It is Bud from "The Cosby Show". People mistake Gus for this actor several times, in almost every season at least once.

On an ironic note, the actor who plays Bud actually plays Gus's boss in the last episode of "Psych". Difficulty: Average.

Shawn and Gus sing "Take On Me" by A-ha. When they sing, they do horrible on purpose, knowing that they were going to get passed through anyways. At one point, they aren't even singing the same verse.

They sing "Shout" as their final performance during this episode, when they dress as Curt Smith and Michael Jackson.

They sing "Don't You Forget About Me" for a promo for one of the early seasons.

"Everybody Wants To Rule The World" is by Tears for Fears and is sung by Curt Smith in two of the three episodes he performs a cameo for.

The foot was found in a nearby hiking area and brought into the SBPD. Shawn was able to see that whoever it belonged to had to be a person who kicked without a shoe on a regular basis. It lead them all to the local pro-football team (the Thunderbirds), which was missing one if its kickers. The team tried to distract Shawn and Gus by insinuating Vlad owed a lot of money to Russian mobsters.
Mykelti Williams guest-starred as Sammy, the coach and former star of the team. Difficulty: Easy.

 

Soccer and a finger, Gymnastics and an ear, Golf and a hand

Shawn and Gus graduated in 1995. For some reason, which I probably missed, Gus was in charge of the thirteenth year reunion. We also found out that he'd been captain of the Pep Squad, which was another name for "male cheerleader", according to Shawn. The mystery revolved around a murder Shawn witnessed, but couldn't immediately prove. Lassiter was also at the reunion, as the date of one of the guys' female classmates. It turned out that the murdered man was still stashed on campus, and that he'd taken the fall thirteen years earlier for the football captain and head cheerleader. They decided to kill him, as the football star was running for state assemblyman. A side mystery also solved was Lassiter's date filling prescription drugs for years under an alias.
Rachel Leigh Cook guest starred as the one that got away from Shawn. Abigail had finally agreed to date Shawn at the end of their senior year, but he got nervous and stood her up. He made it all up to her when he admitted that, and then proved it by stating exactly what she wore and what she did while she waited for him. Difficulty: Hard.

 

7th, 16th, 19th

Shawn's gift was a snow globe based on the detective agency. It had the word "PSYCH" inside it, with two little men along side it. Lassie said he hated snow globes, only to turn around and find at least a dozen on his desk. Shawn gave McNab a Daisy Red Rider BB rifle, which he said he'd always wanted. Shawn admitted to Gus he'd overheard it during McNab's evaluation. I think he said the air vents connected, and he somehow heard the information. Difficulty: Easy.

I love this quote it is just one of the times that Lassiter tries to outsmart Shawn with a witty retort that just makes him sound like an idiot. Difficulty: Easy.

 

Shawn and Juliet, Shawn and Karen, Gus and Lassiter

Apparently, Lassie (Carlton Lassiter) had been on a crime solving streak. We first heard he had solved seven in a row, then it's confirmed to be eight, and finally the number sat at nine cases solved. Shawn questioned Juliet and the chief, and finally was asked by Lassiter to accompany them on to their latest crime to "see how it's done". The case was a man washed ashore at the marina. He had blunt trauma to his head, but also what appeared to be a giant bite mark. Shawn read that the bite radius was 34 inches, and decided that it was definitely a dinosaur. Later, he told a reluctant Gus it was specifically a T-Rex.
Franzen turned out to be a paleontologist, which finally made the chief interested in Shawn's help. In the end, Shawn and Gus solved two murders with the help of Shawn's father. The first murder was twenty years old.

Peter Benchley was the creator of the mythical killer shark nicknamed Jaws. The other choices, as ridiculous as they sound, could be theories coming from Shawn Spencer! Difficulty: Easy.

The frequent references to the Santa Barbara police department attest to this fact. Difficulty: Easy.

Gus and Shawn have had a long history as friends. In the first episode, Shawn roped Gus into aiding him in "psyching out" the police, in order to solve crimes for money. Gus reluctantly accompanied Shawn and they solved the disappearance and death of Camden McCallum, Jr.
Dule Hill played Gus in season one. Fans may remember him for his years as Charlie Young on "The West Wing". Difficulty: Very Easy.

 

Carlton, Henry, Buzz

Season one episode "Cloudy with a Chance of Murder" was remade with a similar cast and only slight changes to the storyline. Even though the episode aired in 2014, it was played out as a 2006 episode. Sean was quoted as saying, "I hate remakes" when the episode began. According to Steve Franks, the episode was remade in season eight because the writers believed they didn't do a good job the first time. Difficulty: Hard.

Gus' parents were first seen in this episode which was also the first Christmas episode for "Psych". When Gus' parents were accused of killing a neighbor no one liked, Shawn and Gus helped clear them of the neighbor's murder. Difficulty: Easy.

Lloyd needed an excuse to get out of the holding cell in Mexico, so he can return the cufflinks to Pedro. Difficulty: Hard.

This was in "Last Night Gus" when Woody told Gus that his cholesterol was really high and Shawn said to him, "Man, I told you eating something called "Stick a butter in a bun" was a bad idea." Difficulty: Hard.

Shawn mostly refers to Gus' car as the Blueberry because the car blue and is sort of round. The car is a blue 2002 Toyota Echo. Since the show is filmed in British Columbia, they are able to have that car. The car that is identical in the U.S. is the Toyota Yaris. Difficulty: Very Easy.

 

The Ocean Blue, Poseidon, The Sky

Three of the teammates called themselves The Warriors as a reference to their particular wild ways. Shawn noticed that one of these teammates (Matt) had the same wound on his wrist as was on Vlad's body. He also saw that another teammate (Vince) had poison oak on his leg, as did the severed foot belonging to Vlad. The third man, Drew, acted like they all barely knew Vlad, and referred to him in the past tense before the body was even found. So, Shawn and Sammy decided to use fear to make the killer reveal himself. Instead, what was revealed was that Vlad's death was an accident. The men had clauses in their contract to prevent dangerous activities. If they hurt themselves or others, Sammy could kick them off the team, so the three men covered up Vlad's accidental death as a Russian mob hit.

Christopher Wiehl played Matt and Kofi Natei played Vince. Difficulty: Average.

Steven Webber guest starred as Henry's brother Jack. Jack came full of fanciful tales of faraway places. Most of the episode was a go-between of the hunt for the treasure, and the men being interviewed at the police station. In the end, Shawn did locate the treasure hidden in the painted caves of the Chumash Indians. He and Gus decided to give most of the gold coins to the local museum, tricking the con-artist Jack in the process. The tribe, Chumash, were real and also mentioned often on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Difficulty: Very Easy.

Shawn already knew what the gift was, so he wrote a note stating it and wrapped it for his dad. It was yellow golf balls tagged with his company logo. He, of course, gave his dad a snow globe. It contained a likeness of his father holding a fishing pole. Difficulty: Easy.

Gus became extremely jealous of the cat that Shawn stole from a crime scene. Gus is afraid that the cat will become Shawn's new side kick. Shawn even has the cat riding up front. Difficulty: Hard.
