Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

The key for the alphabetical substitution cypher - or cryptogram - for this quiz is as follows:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
QWERTYUIOPASDFGHJKLZXCVBNM

If you were able to decipher the whole text, you would have discovered the opening sections of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. For the purposes of this quiz, I removed titles and numbering, and just kept the text. The words that were chosen for the Fun Fill-It part of the quiz have been put into ALL CAPS below:

"Whereas Canada is founded upon PRINCIPLES that recognize the SUPREMACY of God and the RULE OF LAW:

The Canadian CHARTER of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such REASONABLE LIMITS prescribed by law as can be demonstrably JUSTIFIED in a free and democratic SOCIETY.

EVERYONE has the following FUNDAMENTAL freedoms:

freedom of conscience and RELIGION;

freedom of THOUGHT, belief, opinion and EXPRESSION, including freedom of the PRESS and other media of communication;

freedom of peaceful ASSEMBLY; and

freedom of ASSOCIATION."

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was established in 1982 as part of the Constitution Act, which officially patriated Canada's constitution from the U.K.

The portion presented in this quiz includes the following:

The Preamble
1) Guarantee of Rights and Freedoms
2) Fundamental Freedoms

The rest of Part I was not included in the quiz, covering the topics of democratic rights, mobility rights, legal rights, equality rights,
the official languages of Canada, minority language educational rights, and enforcement and application of the Charter.

Part II of the Charter is specifically for rights of the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada.
