Known as The George Harrison Tree, the Canary Island pine tree stood for over a decade, growing to a height of over ten feet, until it was killed by a tree beetle infestation in 2014. On February 25, 2015, a new tree was replanted on the site of the original tree on what would have been Harrison's 72nd birthday.

The replacement tree is a yew pine, a different species that is more resistant to insects.
