Answer: I am...I Said

Neil Diamond wrote the song "I am... I said", and it was released as a single in 1971. It reached number 4 in both the US and UK charts. The B side of this record was "Done Too Soon".

This song was performed by Brooke White during the Neil Diamond week, in series 7 of "American Idol".
2. Frogs legs are well known as being a French dish. How do you say 'frogs legs' in French?

Answer: Les cuisses de grenouilles

Frogs legs are also considered to be a delicacy in both Chinese and Caribbean cuisine. The most common type of frog in the dish, is called the Edible frog.

Frogs legs are said to taste like chicken, and it is usually the thigh meat of the frog which is used.

The three frogs used in the commercial were the creation of Greg Norman, the Brand Manager for Budweiser. The advertisement first appeared during Super Bowl XXIX in 1995.

Answer: Wilhelm and Jakob

Jakob Ludwig Grimm was born on 4th January 1785, and his brother, Wilhelm Karl was born on 24th February 1786 in Germany. Although well known for authoring fairy tales, both were professors at the University of Göttingen. Towards the latter end of their lives, the brothers co-wrote a German dictionary, which was first published in 1854.

They wrote many other classics including "Rumpelstiltskin", "Snow White" and "Cinderella".
5. Cockney rhyming slang is well known in the UK. If you were "going down the frog", what would you be doing?

Answer: Going down the road

The full phrase is "Going down the frog and toad", but in recent years the latter part of the rhyme has been dropped.
Other examples of rhyming slang are "apples and pears", which are stairs... and "whistle and flute"... which is a suit.

There are many new additions to the slang, for example "Britney's", ( Britney Spears) means beers.

Answer: The Common Frog

The scientific name for the Common Frog is Rana Temporaria.

It is the only species of frog which can be found in Ireland where it is believed to have been introduced by the Normans approximately 1,000 years ago. There is no evidence of it being native to Ireland.

There are only a further two amphibians to be found in Ireland and they are the Natterjack Toad, and the Smooth Newt.

In Portugal Kermit is known as, 'Cocas,o Sapo' and in Spain as 'Gustavo'.
Kermit's first appearance was in 1955, on 'Sam and Friends'. His debut on 'The Muppet Show' was in September 1976.

Jim Henson was, not only the creator of Kermit the Frog, he was also 'the voice'. He sadly died in 1990.

On 2nd April 1979 Kermit hosted 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson', as an April fool's joke. He also hosted 'Larry King Live' in 1994.

He has had guest appearances on many shows world wide.

Answer: Daniel Malmedahl

The sound was created by Swedish born Daniel Malmedahl in 1997, when he was trying to copy the sound of a two-stroke engine. He posted the sound he had created on the internet and in 2003, Erik Wernquist heard the sound and created a 3D Animation, "The Annoying Thing", to accompany it.

The Crazy Frog single "Axel F", reached number 50 in the American charts in 2005. Four albums have been released, the last one "Crazy Frog Presents More Crazy Hits (Ultimate Edition)", being released in 2006.
9. How many types of frog are there in the world today?

Answer: In excess of 4,000

In excess of 4,000 breeds of frog have been identified in the world to date, with new species being discovered each year.

Some frogs are poisonous, but again the exact figure is not known. It is believed to be in excess of 150.

One of the well known poisonous frogs is the Poison Arrow frog. This frog is native to Central and South America. The poison from the frogs is used by South American Indians, they apply the poison to tips of hunting arrows and blow gun darts
