Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 had just taken off from Portland International Airport in the US state of Oregon when a door plug being used to block up a door hole not being used with that particular configuration of the aircraft blew out. This caused a decompression of the aircraft which had to make an emergency landing at Portland.

All passengers and crew survived the incident. The blow out involved a Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft. Following the incident the FAA grounded these aircraft so they could be inspected and repaired if needed. Other aviation authorities and airlines also grounded their Boeing 737 MAX 9s for inspection.

Gillette founded the American Safety Razor Company in 1901 in order to sell his invention.

The company name was changed to the Gillette Safety Razor Company in 1902.

Eris is a dwarf planet which was first discovered on January 5, 2005, by a team working at the Palomar Observatory in San Diego County in California. The dwarf planet was named after the goddess of strife and discord in Greek mythology. A dwarf planet is an astronomical object orbiting the sun, which is large enough to become rounded by gravity, but not so large that nothing else (other than its moons) can exist in its orbit.
5. Nellie Tayloe Ross became the first female state governor in the USA when she was sworn in as the governor of which state on 5th January 1925?

Nellie Davis Ross was born in 1876 in St Joseph, Missouri. Ross became Governor of Wyoming in 1925, when she won the election held following the death of her husband, and previous governor, William B. Ross. Ross lost the 1926 election to Frank Emerson, and later became the first female Director of the US Mint. She died in 1977 at the age of 101.

Answer: Calvin Coolidge

Calvin Coolidge was the 30th President of the United States who was in office from August 1923 until March 1929. He became president following the death of Warren G. Harding in 1923 and later won the election of 1924. Coolidge could have run again in the presidential election of 1928, but chose not to do so. He died suddenly on January 5, 1933, from a blood clot in his heart.

In 1995 he was elected to the US House of Representatives, and served there until his death. Bono died from injuries sustained in a skiing accident after he hit a tree at the Heavenly Mountain Resort in California.

Alfred Dreyfus was an officer in the French Army who served in the artillery unit. He was wrongly accused and convicted of treason, with this judgement being reached on January 5, 1895. Following his conviction, Dreyfus was sentenced to life imprisonment and sent to the penal colony of Devil's Island in French Guiana.

After his conviction, evidence surfaced that Dreyfus was innocent and that his conviction was largely motivated by prejudice because he was from the Alsatian region of France and Jewish. Dreyfus was exonerated in July 1906, and resumed his army career, fighting for the French during World War I.
