His ship, the Millennium Falcon, was approaching a small moon which didn't look too intimidating at first look. But Luke's premonitions were correct as the moon turned out to be the Death Star.

During the Battle of Endor, Admiral Ackbar says, "It's a trap!" as they approached the second Death Star. They had inside information that the star was vulnerable and protective shields were down.

But to their surprise, they realize they had their shields up and multiple destroyers ready at the attack by the Empire forces.

When Michael confronts him about the abuse, he delivers the famous line along with the words, "Because it insults my intelligence and makes me very angry."
