Who's Who: "Toy Story 5" (2026) Quiz

Answer:

The story begins with a shipping container of 50 special edition Buzz Lightyear toys being stranded on a deserted island. Like Buzz in "Toy Story" (1995), they think they are real Space Rangers. They decide to follow the North Star in an attempt to find Star Command. Their purpose is a bit confusing, but eventually they meet up the original Buzz Lightyear and help the other toys carry out their plan.

Meanwhile, Bonnie is eight years old now; her parents are worried about her because she is very shy around kids her age and seems to have trouble making friends. She much prefers to play with her assortment of toys, some of which were given to her by Andy when he went away to college in "Toy Story 3" (2010).

To try and help her fit in better, her parents buy her a Lilypad, a smart tablet that looks like a frog. It seems that all the kids her age like to play with tablets. In no time at all, Bonnie becomes quite attached to Lilypad, and while she neglects her favorite toys, she does connect with a girl from her dance class who invites her to a sleepover with some other girls. All the girls seem to do is just sit around together and play with their tablets. Bonnie will have to try hard to fit in!

The newly appointed Sheriff Jessie, who Woody left in charge of the gang of toys at the end of "Toy Story 4" (2019), becomes concerned about Bonnie's fixation with Lilypad, and contacts him via walkie-talkie to ask for his help and advice. She is also dealing with her own feelings of being an abandoned toy (again) as the story continues. Woody agrees to leave Bo Peep in their search for homes for abandoned toys and joins forces with his old friends. He has aged since the last time the group saw him, as he has a noticeable bald spot on his head, which is presumably caused by years of contact with his cowboy hat. His old friend Buzz Lightyear has been promoted to deputy of Bonnie's room in Woody's absence, and, due to his feelings for Jessie, Buzz is happy to team up with Woody again, especially after Jessie and Bullseye go missing.

Even though Jessie and her trusty horse, Bullseye, find a way to sneak into Bonnie's overnight bag for the sleepover, the other girls make fun of Bonnie for playing with toys, so she leaves them in the car. The two toys escape and try to find a way back to help Bonnie, but become lost. They are found by an elderly couple who notice that Jessie's former owner, Emily, wrote her address on her toy, and take Jessie and Bullseye to Emily's (and Jessie's) old house. Now, though, the house belongs to a new family with a daughter named Blaze. Bullseye is quickly noticed and becomes an addition to Blaze's toy horse collection; Jessie is left on her own to rescue her horse and find a way home.

She discovers an old playhouse that is full of abandoned toys, including Atlas, a GPS toy that looks like a hippo that is in desperate need of a battery. After going into the house, Jessie finds a drawer of batteries that also contains Smarty Pants, a potty training toy that looks like a roll of toilet paper, and Snappy, a toy camera that takes pictures. She puts new batteries into the three toys, and discovers that they were all made by the same company as Lilypad. Maybe they will be able to help her get home?

Jessie also discovers that Blaze seems to enjoy playing with toys, much like Bonnie. They are close in age, and, like Bonnie, she has a difficult time making friends. Perhaps the two, who have been hurt by other children their age, can somehow meet and play together? Can Bonnie and Blaze's toys make that happen? What will happen to Lilypad? What do all the hi-tech Buzzes have to do with the story? Will Jessie and Buzz ever admit that they love each other? You will have to see the movie to find out!

While Andy plays an important role in the "Toy Story" movies, he is not seen, only mentioned, in "Toy Story 5". Sid, the kid next door who abuses his toys, has not been seen in the movie franchise since "Toy Story 3". Chuckles the Clown, who joins Bonnie's toys after living at Sunnyside Daycare in "Toy Story 3" does not appear in "Toy Story 5". Barbie is still at Sunnyside Daycare with Ken. And finally, Gabby Gabby, after being gifted with Woody's voice box in "Toy Story 4", is adopted and lives with the girl who found her at the carnival.
