1. What is the missing word from the song title by The Monkees "I'm a ________", released in 1966?

Answer: Believer

The song "I'm a Believer" was written by Neil Diamond, who featured on acoustic guitar on the single, with the Monkees, that consisted of Mickey Dolenz, Davy Jones, Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork. The single was a worldwide hit.

2. What two word phrase, derived from Italian, means to sing without accompaniment?

Answer: A Cappella

A cappella can mean from the chapel or from the choir but, as we know it, it means to sing without instruments. Some religions feel that musical instruments are sinful and therefore their choirs sing "a cappella". A barbershop quartet is a common example of singing without accompaniment.

Answer: West Virginia

John Denver used to say that melodies floated past him and he just put out his hand and grabbed them, so easy did he find composing. In this song there are references to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah river. He was killed in a plane crash in 1997.

Answer: Live and Let Die

"Live and Let Die" was one of the most successful Bond theme songs, reaching number two in the US and number nine in the UK. McCartney was contracted to write the song by the film's producers and it was recorded with his band Wings in October 1972.
Guns N' Roses have also recorded a successful cover version of the song.

John Sebastian played harmonica on "Roadhouse Blues" using the pseudonym to avoid problems with his contract. "Roadhouse Blues" made it halfway up the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Loving Spoonful's hits include "Summer in the City," "Do You Believe in Magic," "Daydream" and "Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind?" Sebastian would later record the theme song for the TV show "Welcome Back, Kotter."

Through the years, CSN (and sometimes Y) would experience critical and commercial success interspersed with numerous breakups. Their 2009 album is titled "Demos".
