It was believed the tragic death of one of Wright's cousins convinced him music would make a better career than selling drugs. Wright began Ruthless Records by recording music in his family's garage. Easy-E was only 30 years old when he died of AIDS-related pneumonia.

Ernie Els (birth name Theodore Ernest Els) was a naturally gifted athlete who excelled in several sports - among those golf, tennis, rugby and cricket - as a young man. He won the South African Amateur Stroke Play Championship of golf shortly before his 20th birthday and declared his intention to enter the professional golf circuit soon thereafter. By 1994 he had won his first major championship - the U.S. Open - and his list of career wins would become long and extensive.

He won golf titles and championships around the world and was rated in the top ten of professional golfers for years - often seeded at number one. Els son, Ben, was born in the early years of 21st century and was diagnosed with autism.
