Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

"The Lord's Prayer" can be found in the New Testament of the King James version in Matthew 6. As Jesus was up on the mountain and talking to his disciples, they asked Jesus how to pray. He suggested this prayer in response to them.

There are many versions of this prayer, and this is the 'traditional' version of the prayer that many Christians use. Sometimes in church you'll recite the Lord's Prayer during a service or after a prayer. Children are taught a children's version of the prayer in Sunday School or Sabbath School.

One of the printed versions is located in the Thomas Jefferson Library of Congress in Washington DC. You need to get passes to enter the building and these can be reserved online. I can highly recommend visiting the structure, it's breathtaking and beautiful with the marble all over the inside. "The Lord's Prayer" was drawn by John Morgan Cooley in 1889.

Another cool note to add is that some chefs would use "The Lord's Prayer" instead of using a timer. In the book, "Consider the Fork: A History of How We Cook and Eat" he mentions that you need to "simmer the broth for three 'Lord's Prayers'".

There are over 2800 versions of the "Holy Bible" and yes I'm assuming that there are also numerous versions of the "Lord's Prayer" as well. Back in 2019 Pope Francis approved the changing of some of the wording in the prayer, changing it to "do not let us fall into temptation." Now the change cannot happen just because the Pope suggests it. The wording had to be approved a group in Italy, the Episcopal Conference. Whichever version you say or use, know that "The Lord's Prayer" was suggested by Jesus.
