Answer: Wilie Stargell and Keith Hernandez

Wilie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Keith Hernandez of the Saint Louis Cardinals were voted National League co-MVPs in 1979. Both players accumulated 216 points in the voting. Stargel also won the NLCS and World Series MVP awards in 1979. Hernandez led the National League in batting average, doubles, and runs scored.
2. What player got two hits for two different teams in two different cities on the same day?

Answer: Joel Youngblood

Joel Youngblood was traded by the Mets to the Expos on August 4, 1982. After the Mets' day game, he flew to Philadelphia who were hosting the Expos for a night game. Youngblood got two hits in both of the games he played that day.
3. Who was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young and Rookie of the Year in the same season?

Answer: Fernando Valenzuela

Fernando Valenzuela played in Major League Baseball from 1980 through 1997. During his official rookie year, he was responsible for the sensation known as "Fernandomania". Answer: Fred Lynn

The 1983 MLB All-Star Game was held on July 6, 1983, at Comiskey Park in Chicago, Illinois. In the third inning, California Angels outfielder Fred Lynn hit a grand slam off of San Francisco Giants' pitcher Atlee Hammaker. That was the first grand slam in in MLB All-Star game history.

The American League team defeated the National League team by a score of 13 to 3. Fred Lynn was named the game's MVP.
