=== Gil Vicente === is based in Barcelos in northern Portugal and was founded in 1924. The club is named after Portuguese playwright Gil Vicente and has spent several seasons in Portugal's top division.
=== Atlético CP === is based in Lisbon and was formed in 1942 through the merger of Carcavelinhos FC and União FC. The club finished third in the Portuguese league in 1945.
=== GD Chaves === is based in Chaves in northern Portugal and was founded in 1949 through the merger of two local clubs. The club reached the Portuguese Cup final in 2010 and qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time in 1987.
== Santa Clara === is based in Ponta Delgada in the Azores and was founded in 1921. The club became the first team from the Azores to qualify for a European competition in 2021.
=== Casa Pia === is based in Lisbon and was founded in 1920. The club returned to the Portuguese top flight in 2022 after an absence of more than 80 years.

Extremadura UD, CD Numancia, SD Huesca, CD Leganes and Recreativo de Huelva have all competed in Spain's top flight, the Primera División.
