When he returned to CTU, Jack Bauer told Nina Myers to meet him in his office. Meanwhile, he stopped by Jamey Farrell's desk and asked her to find out who had downloaded the files to the keycard. While Bauer was talking to Myers in his office, he was watching Farrell, and when she confirmed that the card came from Myers' computer, she gave him a signal.

Answer: An extra million dollars

The deal was for Mandy to receive a million dollars for obtaining Martin Belkin's ID and blowing up the plane, and Bridgit would turn over the ID once Mandy received the money. Bridgit refused to do so, however; she wanted an extra million dollars for it.

Answer: Throwing his sister's rapist off a building

Senator Palmer had received a phone call from reporter Maureen Kingsley. Apparently, she was going to report that Palmer's son, Keith, was responsible for the death of the rapist who attacked his sister. The rapist supposedly killed himself by jumping of a building. Senator Palmer had asked a friend to find out from where the information had come, and he called Palmer and told him the source for the information was allegedly the therapist who had treated Keith after the incident.

Answer: Bridgit was killed by the sniper while Mandy was spared.

Ira Gaines had driven Mandy and Bridgit to the spot where Bridgit had hidden Martin Belkin's ID card. Bridgit picked up the card and was walking back to Gaines along with Mandy when the sniper who had been brought in to take Belkin's place shot Bridgit. Mandy turned to face the sniper, and he had her in his target when Ira Gaines told her it was necessary to kill Bridgit and asked her if she still wanted to be involved with the operation.

She agreed and Gaines called off the sniper.

Answer: He and Myers had been out of town on the date that the files were loaded to the keycard.

Jamey Farrell was able to determine the date that the files were downloaded to the keycard. It turned out to be a date that Jack Bauer and Nina Myers were in Santa Barbara for the weekend during his separation from his wife.

Answer: She was hit by a car and left in the street.

Kim and Janet were able to escape and run into a bad section of town. They met a male prostitute who initially refused to help them, but later tried to do so. Janet ran away while Kim hesitated, which saved Kim as Janet ran into the street and was hit by a car. The boys captured Kim and took her away, leaving Janet injured in the street.

Answer: Tony Almeida

Tony Almeida called division and said that Jack Bauer needed to be replaced because he was out of control. George Mason was sent to inform CTU that they were on lockdown as a result of two agents, including Richard Walsh, being killed. Nina Myers covered for Bauer to let him escape the building.

Answer: Cancel a breakfast meeting with labor leaders

Senator Palmer met with Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce, and Pierce informed Senator Palmer about the threat against him. Pierce told him that "this threat was different" from the others that Palmer had received because "a pro from overseas" was involved. Pierce told him that the Secret Service wanted him to make some changes to his schedule, including cancelling the breakfast meeting with labor leaders. Palmer refused to do so.

Answer: A policewoman

The policewoman had heard shots in the building and found Jack Bauer there. She assisted him after he provided her his ID. There was a man in the building who was trying to shoot Bauer, and the man took the policewoman hostage. She was shot by the man when Bauer tried to rescue her. When the man was captured by the police, he told Bauer that he knew about his daughter.

Answer: Ira Gaines

The boys returned to the scene where Janet was hit to make sure she was dead, but the police arrived so they took off. They met with Ira Gaines to give him Kim Bauer. He asked about Janet and was told that she was dead.
