Samuel West portrays Siegfried Farnon in Channel 5's TV series "All Creatures Great and Small" (starting 2020), an adaptation of the book series written by Alf Wight (using the pseudonym James Herriot). It has appeared on PBS in the US. The previous TV adaptation ran from 1978 to 1990.
In other work, West narrated the arts documentary "The Private Life of a Masterpiece" (2002-2006) and various historical documentaries. He has the role of angel Zak Gist in "Eternal Law" (2012) and a main role in "Mr Selfridge" (2012-2015).
He also has a recurring (but not main) role in "Slow Horses" (2022).

Her TV career has been extensive with more than 500 episodes of "Coronation Street" behind her, as Caroline Dawson in "Last Tango in Halifax" (2012-2020) and as Sgt. Catherine Cawood in "Happy Valley" (2104, 2016, 2023) during a television career of more than 35 years.
7. Lesley Manville

This is Lesley Manville's second appearance as amateur sleuth Susan Ryeland in this adaptation of the 2020 mystery novel "Moonflower Murders" by Anthony Horowitz. The first was in "Magpie Murders" (2022), based on the first "Susan Ryeland" novel. Both series appear on BBC One and PBS.

In the "Slow Horses" series, Kristin Scott Thomas portrays Diana Taverner, Deputy Director General of MI5, who has interactions with Slough House, the dumping group for MI5 rejects. Also better known for her film roles, she appears in "The Party" (2017), "Darkest Hour" (2017) and as the antagonist in the 2020 film adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" (1938).
12. Jonathan Pryce

Jonathan Pryce has the role of David Cartwright, River Cartwright's grandfather. A retired senior MI5 officer, he appears in the fourth series in a main role, guesting in the first three. Pryce is an award-winning actor on stage and on screen. On TV, he portrays The High Sparrow in "Game of Thrones" (2015-2016), Prince Philip in "The Crown" (2022-2023) and Mike Evans in "3 Body Problem" (2024). Pryce also appears in the first three "Pirates of the Caribbean" films.
