Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Mrs. Trumbull (Elizabeth Patterson) was the Ricardos' neighbor who sometimes babysat for Little Ricky. Betty Ramsey (Mary Jane Croft) was their neighbor in Westport, Ct. Both actresses played other characters as well: Patterson was Mrs. Willoughby in the episode where Lucy believes her marriage is not legal, and Croft played Cynthia Harcourt, an old school rival of Lucy's in one episode. She also plays a fellow passenger on the plane in the episode where Lucy tries to smuggle a cheese home from Europe.

Jerry (Jerry Hausner) plays Ricky's agent in a number of episodes the first 3 seasons of the show.

Marion Strong (Margie Liszt, then Shirley Mitchell) was a Women's Club friend in 4 episodes.

Mr. Merriweather (Jay Novello) was the talent agent and fan of the occult for whom Lucy and Ethel stage a séance in hopes of securing Ricky a part in a show. ("Ethel to Tilly, come in Tilly") Novello also appears in 2 other episodes: as the milquetoast Mr. Beecher whom Lucy and Ethel try to scare out of a sublease, and as a Venetian gondolier who visits in the final season.

Grace Foster (Gloria Blondell - Joan's sister) plays a neighbor whom Lucy fears is having an affair with Ricky. The character's name, though, is more prominent in the episode "The Gossip" where the boys invent a story about Grace Foster having an affair with the milkman in an effort to win a bet.

Mrs. Porter (Verna Felton) plays Lucy's maid in an episode, Uncle Alberto (Jorge Trevino) is the Ricardo patriarch whom they visit during their Cuba trip. Edna Grundy (Elsa Lanchester) drives Lucy and Ethel to Florida and they fear she is a hatchet murderer (and vice versa). Madame X (Alice Wills) is a cross-dressing cat burglar and of course Lucy and Ethel somehow manage to think each other is Madame X.

Mr. Littlefield (Gale Gordon) is Ricky's boss. He appears in 2 episodes of season 1. Gordon, who appeared with Ball on radio in "My Favorite Husband" and was initially thought of for the role of Fred Mertz, did subsequently appear with her in both the "Lucy Show" and "Here's Lucy".

Bobby the Bellboy (Bob Jellison) appears in a number of the Hollywood episodes. Jellison also appears in the aforementioned "The Gossip" as the milkman supposedly involved with Grace Foster.

Dore Schary (Philip Ober, Vivian Vance's real-life husband) appears in one Hollywood episode. Schary, the real-life head of MGM at the time, was to appear as himself but developed a kidney infection. He joked that Ober was more believable as him. Ober also appeared in a famous early episode where he played Lucy's fake first husband, part of a 'Females Are Fabulous Show' stunt (hosted by recurring character Freddie Filmore) that Lucy agreed to in an effort to win $1000.00.

Diana Jordan (Barbara Eden) appears in the final season as the sexy young socialite who catches the eye of Ricky, Fred, and Ralph Ramsey -- much to the chagrin of their wives.

Mr. Taylor (Gene Reynolds) and his wife are the newlyweds who rent Ricky and Lucy's former apartment after the Ricardos buy the Westport house. They buy the Ricardos' furniture but when Lucy finds out they want to remodel it, she buys it back. Reynolds was a 1930's child star who later turned to writing and directing, most notably on the TV series "M*A*S*H".

All of the incorrect answers are characters on other 1950's sitcoms.
