"This is Going to Hurt" was a British medical comedy-drama television miniseries. It followed the lives of a group of young doctors working on an obstetrics and gynaecology ward in a National Health Service hospital. It aired in 2022 over 7 episodes.

"Angels" was a British series that ran from 1975 to 1983. It was originally set in St Angela's Hospital in Battersea as a medical drama dealing with young student nurses. It later moved to Birmingham as a bi-weekly soap opera.

"Bramwell" was a British television series that ran for 4 seasons from 1995. Its premise was set around a female doctor in the late Victorian Era who sets up a free hospital in the East End of London for the poor.

"All Saints" was an Australian series set at All Saints Western General Hospital in Sydney. The first 6 seasons are set on a hospital ward and then the staff move to the Emergency Department when the ward is closed.

"Offspring" was an Australian program that aired between 2010 and 2017. Although not strictly a total medical drama much of it is set in a hospital in Melbourne revolving around the life of obstetrician Nina Proudman and her family and friends.

"Shortland Street" is a New Zealand prime-time soap opera focusing on the characters of Shortland Street Hospital. It commenced in 1992.

"Saving Hope" is a Canadian supernatural medical drama set in Hope Zion Hospital in Toronto. Beginning in 2012 it ran for five seasons. It focuses on an engaged medical couple where he is in a coma and she is working at the hospital.

"Remedy" was a Canadian series, premiering in 2014 it ran for two years. Set in Bethune General Hospital in Toronto it follows the lives of a father who is the chief of medical staff and his orderly son who has dropped out of medical school.

"Mary Kills People" is a Canadian show that ran from 2017 for three years. It focuses on a female emergency doctor and her partner who provide assisted suicides as a sideline.

"Ben Casey" was an American series that ran from 1961 to 1966. It focused on Dr Ben Casey, a neurosurgeon at County General Hospital.

"Rafferty" was an American series that only aired for one season in 1977. It focused on former army doctor Sid Rafferty who had retired and moved into private practice.

"China Beach" was an American war drama television series set at an evacuation hospital during the Vietnam War. It ran for four seasons from 1988.

"Chicago Hope" was an American television series airing from 1994 to 2000. It was set in this fictional private charitable hospital in Chicago and followed the lives of the medical staff.
