Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was Joey's chair's name?

Answer: Rosita

Yes! Rosita! The episode was actually called "TOW Rosita Dies". Rosita was a brown leather BarcaLounger that had been with Joey since season 4/episode 7, "The One Where Chandler Crosses The Line". After Chandler kissed Kathy, Joey's girlfriend, he tried to make amends by purchasing two BarcaLoungers for their apartment. When Chandler moved in with Monica in season 6, each kept his own chair, splitting up the pair.

Joey famously named his furniture! Look at the chair's name and say it slowly. Ro-seat-a! The television's name is Stevie!
2. Who really broke Joey's chair in season 7/episode 13?

Answer: Rachel

After Chandler moved in with Monica, Rachel eventually moved into his apartment. She hated Joey's chair, mostly because she never had a place to sit. Apparently she did not think that Joey's suggestion about sitting on his lap was a good alternative. And Joey emphatically told her that the chair was in the perfect place and was not to be moved.

When she tried to move the chair, it broke. After Joey came home and discovered the mishap, Rachel told him that she would buy him a new chair, and they left to go shopping, even though, "she's not even cold yet".
3. Who thought they had broken Joey's chair in season 7/episode 13?

Answer: Chandler

Chandler was trying to lay low, as it had just been discovered that he forgot to give Monica and Ross an important message. When he let himself in Joey's apartment, he sat on the chair, and it broke apart. Of course he thought that it was his fault the chair had broken.

In a hurry to cover up the damage that he thought he had done, Chandler went next door and switched out the broken chair with his, which had been in Monica's apartment. When Joey came home, he thought a miracle had occurred, and his chair had healed itself!
4. In the end, Joey was very happy that his chair had healed itself.

Answer: False

Well, the chair really did not heal itself, even though at first Joey believed angels healed the chair because his heart was pure. Even though he was delighted at first to see that his chair appeared to have been put back together, Joey was ultimately angry that Rachel had a chair that was so much better than his.

When Rachel went next door to invite Chandler to sit in the new chair, Joey broke the replacement Rosita, and soon after learned that Chandler had, in fact, switched the original broken chair with his own. So now both of the BarcaLoungers are ruined.
5. What type of chair, which a name that screams comfort, replaced Joey's old chair in season 7/episode 13 of "Friends"?

Answer: La-Z-Boy E-Cliner 3000

Believe it or not, all of the choices are types of recliners, but Rachel bought Joey the La-Z-Boy E-Cliner 3000, which she said was the best chair made. It fully reclined, gave a rolling massage, and had speakers in the head rest. The last scene of the episode showed Joey and Rachel happily sitting in the chair, which she had named Francette, together.
6. Meanwhile, in Season 7/Episode 13, Ross and Monica had gone to visit their parents. Why?

Answer: Their house was being sold.

Monica had been looking in the real estate section of the paper, and noticed a house just like her parents' - no, it was her parents' house - that was for sale. After she showed the ad to Ross, they called their parents and it was confirmed that they were moving out of their long-time home.

The siblings also learned that their parents had called to tell them, giving the information to Chandler, who had subsequently forgotten to relay the message. If Ross and Monica wanted to preserve their childhood memories, they had to go and pick up their boxes.
7. Oh, no! Ross and Mr. Geller found that that Monica's boxes were ruined. What happened?

Answer: They got wet.

While Monica went to search for her Easy Bake Ovens in the attic, Ross and Mr. Geller began to sort through the boxes. Ross's item were neatly stored on the shelf, and he was tickled to find his old report cards, along with his rock polisher. Monica's boxes, however, had been moved to help divert the flow of water which came into the garage when it rained in the Spring. Everything was wet and moldy. Ross convinced his father that his lack of care for her childhood things would make Monica feel again like her parents favored Ross over her. Together they tried to find items from Ross's boxes that could have belonged to Monica in order to make some new boxes for her.
8. What was given to Monica in order to help make up for her lost keepsakes in season 7/episode 13?

Answer: Key to her father's car

When it became clear that Monica realized that the items in the made up boxes were not hers, Mr. Geller admitted that he had used her boxes in order to keep water away from his precious Porsche. He gave her a box that contained the key to his car, explaining that Mrs. Geller thinks that driving such a sporty car makes him look like an ass. Ross was enraged, but Monica happily took a ride in her new car with her dad.

When she returned home and saw that the BarcaLounger was gone, she exclaimed, "This is the best day ever!"
9. On the Phoebe front, in season 7/episode 13 she decided to quit her job as a masseuse and become a telemarketer.

Answer: False

Phoebe did not quit her masseuse job, although she said she had a very slow month with only two clients, which turned out to be Ross and Monica. Ross suggested that maybe she could supplement her income with a telemarketing job, so she found a job selling toner over the phone. All she had to do was read the script, but in reality, Phoebe didn't even know what toner is.
10. When Phoebe's first marketing call was transferred to a suicidal person, to which of her friends did she think she was talking?

Answer: Chandler

In reality, Phoebe was talking to Earl, but when he said he was going to kill himself because of his dead-end job, she thought it might be Chandler (she doesn't think too much of his job), and even asked if it was him. It turned out that Earl worked in an office surrounded by people who did not care about him, even though he was the office manager. Phoebe tried to convince him not to kill himself by telling him that she knew all about that because of what happened to her mother.

She even personally visited him the same day, and convinced him that the universe cared about him, even though the people at work did not.

She did, however, conclude that it was his fault that no one cared.
