Starting as a stand-up comedian, Larry David moved to television with "Fridays" (1980-82) which he wrote and starred in. He and Jerry Seinfield created "Seinfield" (1989-98). Often playing a fictionalised version of himself, he has appeared in numerous other comedy TV series including "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (2000-24). This is another of his creations and has been described as a comedy of manners.
2. Cheryl Hines

Taking on the role of David's wife and then ex-wife Cheryl David, Cheryl Hines has appeared as a regular in most of the 12 seasons. In real life, she is the wife of the politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr. She has also appeared in the sitcom "Suburgatory" (2011-14) as Dallas Royce, in "Son of Zorn" (2016-17) and the gameshow "Funny You Should Ask" (2017-19), amongst others.
3. Jeff Garlin

Jeff Garlin is a stand-up comedian and actor best known for playing Jeff Greene in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (2000-24) and the patriarch Murray Goldberg in the sitcom "The Goldbergs" (2013-22). 5. Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen played Charlie Harper, the hedonistic jingle writer who was the main character in the first eight seasons of the sitcom "Two and a Half Men". The actor's drug problems eventually saw a parting of ways with the occasional guest and stand-in appearance subsequently. Another major TV series for him was the sitcom "Anger Management" (2012-14) in which he plays Charlie Goodson, an anger management specialist.
6. Jon Cryer

Jon Cryer has the role of Alan Harper, Charlie's younger brother, in all twelve seasons of "Two and a Half Men". A well-meaning character but prone to making poor choices. Starting off in film, Cryer transitioned to TV in the 1990s with such roles as Teddy Zakalokis in the sitcom "The Famous Teddy Z" (1989-90). More recently, he has appeared as the supervillain Lex Luther in a series of programmes: "Supergirl" (2019-21), "Batwoman" (2019), "The Flash" (2019), "Arrow" (2020), and "Legends of Tomorrow" (2020).
7. Ashton Kutcher
Answer: Two and a Half Men
Ashton Kutcher effectively took over Charlie Sheen's place in "Two and a Half Men" for the remaining 4 seasons. He played the part of Walden Schmidt, a billionaire internet businessman. He had a main role as Michael Kelson in the sitcom "That '70s Show" (1998-2006), which he reprised in "That '90s Show" in 2003. He has been appearing in films since 1999 and combined this with a decade as executive producer on various films and TV shows.
8. Marin Hinkle
Answer: Two and a Half Men
As Alan Harper's first wife, Judith Harper-Melnick, Hinkle comes across as vindictive and cold-hearted. She appears through the whole "Two and a Half Men" series, although as guest from season 10 and with only occasional appearances in seasons 7 and 9. Other than "Two and a Half Men", she is best known for her roles as Judy Brooks in the family drama "Once and Again" (1999-2002) and as Rose Weissman in the period comedy-drama "The Marvelous Mrs Maisel" (2017-2023).
9. Johnny Galecki
Answer: The Big Bang Theory
In sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" (2007-19), Johnny Galecki plays one of the five original main characters, the nerdy high-IQ experimental physicist Leonard Hofstadter who shares an apartment with his best friend Sheldon Cooper. He also had the role of David Healy in the sitcoms "Roseanne" (1992-97 and 2018) as well as "The Conners" (2018-19).
10. Jim Parsons
Answer: The Big Bang Theory
With a similar resume and IQ, Sheldon Cooper (the adult version) is played by Jim Parsons and shares accommodation with his friend and colleague Leonard Hofstadter. There is also the "Young Sheldon" series (2017-24) where Jim Parsons contributes his voice as narrator. As well as films and theatre work, he has turned his hand to the role of Excutive Producer.
11. Kaley Cuoco

The main female character in the series, Kaly Cuoco plays Penny in "The Big Bang Theory". A neighbour to Leonard and Sheldon, her actress aspirations give way to a pharmaceutical rep job and marriage to Leonard. In other TV work, she had the role as the teenage Bridget Hennessy in the sitcom "8 Simple Rules" (2002-05), as the novice witch in the supernatural drama "Charmed" (2005-06) and as realtor Ava Bartlett in the dark comedy thriller "Based on a True Story" (2023-24).
12. Kunal Nayyar
Answer: The Big Bang Theory
Portraying Rajesh Ramayan (typically called Raj), Kunal Nayyar plays the astroparticle physicist with an obsession for science fiction and one of the five protagonists in "The Big Bang Theory". In other TV series, Nayyar had main roles in the animated sitcom "Sanjay and Craig" (2013-16) when he voiced Sanjay's father and the British thriller "Suspicion" (2022) which was cancelled after one season.
