The opening scene takes place in 1982 and it depicts Dale entering 3rd grade at a new school. He is standing in front of the class and says "hello" to everyone but no one responds. Then he does a 'pencil in the eye' gag making it look like he had a pencil stuck in his eye. The rest of the class is horrified but Chip later tells Dale that he thought the gag had perfect comic timing.

But where Norman's face wasn't visible in Hitchcock's film, due to shading, the Chameleon Killer wears a mask that looks strikingly similar to Norma Bates' corpse at the end of 'Psycho'!
