'F.E.A.R.' was the first single from former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown's third album, 'Music of the Spheres'. Brown cleverly incorporated an acrostic spelling the word 'fear' into each line of the song, with lines such as 'for everyman a religion', 'free expression as revolution' and 'forget everything and remember'. He was inspired to write the song by Malcolm X's autobiography, which discussed etymology and using language to control people. Manchester United fans in the Stretford End of Old Trafford created a banner based on the song with 'For Everymanc A Religion' on it (Brown is a United fan himself).

"Dear Prudence" and "Martha My Dear" appear on The Beatles' self-titled 1968 album (known as "The White Album"), while "Lady Madonna" was released as a single, also in 1968.

Five singles were released from the album in the UK: 'Somewhere Only We Know', 'Everybody's Changing', 'Bedshaped', 'This Is the Last Time' and 'Bend and Break'. It won a Brit Award for Best Album in 2005.
