Ms. Benatar seems quite taken with the idea of love as a battle, as she also had chart toppers with "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and "All Fired Up"!

Answer: Incubus

"Love Hurts" is quite a common theme in music, as the same idea was expressed by Nazareth and Cher in the 197's, Roy Orbison in the 1960s and Rod Stewart in the 2000s.
This one however, was written by Incubus and released on the "Light Grenades" album in 2008.

Answer: Steve Winwood

Steve Winwood rose to fame in the late 1960s and 70s as a member of bands like The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic and Blind Faith before establishing himself as a solo artist in the 1980s.
"Higher Love" was featured on the 1986 album "Back in the High Life".

Answer: Robert Palmer

Probably better known for its iconic music video, "Addicted to Love" became one of Robert Palmer's greatest hits, going to number one on Billboards Rock and Hot 100 charts in 1986.
The video, which features Palmer singing in front of five stony-faced models playing his instruments, was used as the inspiration for many subsequent videos by both Palmer and other artists.
Robert Palmer sadly passed away in 2003 at the youngish age of 54 from a heart attack.

Answer: Queen

Freddie Mercury loved singing about love, and in this song we are told that it is indeed a bit crazy (as suspected!)
Freddie has stated in interviews that he wrote the song as a tribute to Elvis Presley- it went to number one in 1980 and has become one of Queen's best known songs.
Queen certainly did love their love, as the songs "Somebody to Love", "Love of my Life" and "I Was Born to Love You" can attest.

Answer: Bon Jovi

Another group that loved their songs about love, Bon Jovi was one of the biggest bands of the 1980s and recorded some of rock's greatest anthems.
They certainly knew how to show the softer side with songs like "Bed of Roses", "I'll Be There For You" and "Born To Be My Baby", but songs like the number one hit "Bad Medicine" rocked hard and became their signature.

Did they ever find an answer? Only if someone showed them, as the lyrics suggest.
When Mick Jones wrote the song for Foreigner's "Agent Provocateur" album he could not have had any idea that his song would become the definition of a power ballad. The song reached number one in the US and UK.

Answer: Def Leppard

Def Leppard was one of those bands that could rock the roof off and then switch to an emotional ballad in the next song, without missing a beat. "Love Bites" is one of those power rock ballads and let's you know just how much love, well, bites.
The song was written by the members of Def Leppard with "Mutt" Lange and went on to be the band's only Billboard Top 100 hit to date.

Answer: The Rolling Stones

No quiz about love would be complete without The Stones. Mick Jagger wears his heart on his sleeve and in "Love is Strong" he broods about someone he saw but doesn't know yet- inspiring us to believe in love at first sight.
The song is from the "Voodoo Lounge" album and made it to number two on the Billboard rock charts.

The Lumineers may be better known for hits like "Ho Hey", but this Wesley Schultz/ Jeremy Fraites penned track from their self-titled album managed to reach number one on the Adult Alternative charts in 2013. Fittingly, this song tells us that love does not let go, even if you run away from it.
