Amazing Race Canada 2 Trivia Questions

1. In the first Detour of the race (in Leg 2), teams either had to sort fish in British Columbia or do what with them?

From Quiz
Detours of "The Amazing Race Canada 2"

Answer: Fillet

Visiting Ucluelet Harbour Seafoods near Tofino, British Columbia, the remaining ten teams needed to choose between 'Sharp Eyes' and 'Sharp Knives' in their first Detour task. In 'Sharp Eyes', they had to sort one thousand pounds of fish into five bins depending on their type while in 'Sharp Knives' they had to properly fillet thirty pounds of fish. If they ran out of fish to fillet in the latter task, they would have to complete the 'Sharp Eyes' task anyways. Audrey and Alain, Natalie and Meaghan, Cormac and Nicole, Mickey and Pete, and Pierre and Michel completed 'Sharp Knives' while Rex and Bob, Sukhi and Jinder, Laura and Jackie, Ryan and Rob, and Jen and Shawn finished 'Sharp Eyes'.

2. In the first leg of the race, two Road Blocks were completed. In one, a team member performed a skydive. In the other, what did team members do?

From Quiz Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race Canada 2"

Answer: Serve tea

Arriving in Victoria, B.C., one team member was almost immediately told to perform a tandem skydive from nearly four kilometers above the ocean. Natalie, Alain, Nicole, Bob, Sukhi, Ryan, Jackie, Jen, Pete, Shahla, and Pierre completed this first task. Heading to Downtown Victoria though, teams found a second Road Block in front of the Empress Hotel requiring that the other member of each team (Meaghan, Audrey, Cormac, Rex, Laura, Jinder, Rob, Mickey, Michel, Shawn, and Nabeela) end up having to memorize and serve tea and lunch to diners. When they used proper etiquette and recited their dishes, they could continue.

3. In Leg 11, teams left Prince Edward Island, heading to what nearby province?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [6]

Answer: New Brunswick

The final four ended up starting the penultimate leg of the race not at the Farmer's Bank in Rustico, Prince Edward Island, but at Peaks Ward. From there, they needed to drive themselves from the island province into New Brunswick, on the mainland, by taking a ride along Confederation Bridge. Heading out, teams needed to drive Chevrolet Trax, and moments after starting the drive, frontrunners Sukhi and Jinder incurred a fifteen minute penalty for running a red light (which they incurred immediately).

4. To which Quebec city did teams fly during Leg 9?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [5]

Answer: Montreal

At the start of Leg 9, the five remaining teams needed to make their way out of Paris, departing from a vantage point in front of the Eiffel Tower and heading to the Charles de Gaulle Airport to fly to Montreal, one of the largest cities in Quebec. Upon landing at the airport in Dorval, teams needed to race through the terminal to find the Air Canada Priority Check-In Counter where they would be handed their next clue-- a piece of Route Info sending them across the city to Mirabel International Airport.

5. Teams started Leg 7 in what Canadian city?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [4]

Answer: Winnipeg

Starting Leg 7, teams needed to make their way to the airport in Winnipeg, Manitoba (racing from the intersection of Portage and Main) so that they could catch a flight to France and drive themselves to the town of Coquainvilliers in France's historic northwestern region-- Normandy. Once there, teams needed to locate the street in front of the Calvados Boulard Distillery to find their next clue box.

6. In Leg 5, teams flew from Hong Kong, arriving in what Canadian city for their tasks?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [3]

Answer: Whitehorse

Heading out from the Kun Iam Statue in Macau, China, teams were instructed to head back to the city of Hong Kong and fly themselves back over the Pacific Ocean to a connecting flight in Vancouver ultimately sending them to Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory. Upon their arrival in the evening, all eight teams were required to check in at the Sky High Wilderness Ranch and spend the night. They would receive their next clue over breakfast the following morning.

7. To which international destination did teams travel in Leg 3?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [2]

Answer: Hong Kong, China

At the start of Leg 3, teams left the beach in Tofino, British Columbia and were told to fly (for the first time on "The Amazing Race: Canada") out of the country to Hong Kong, China. Heading out on one flight from Tofino via Vancouver, all nine teams arrived in the economic hub in the evening and signed up for one of three times at which they could receive a blessing at the bottom of the Tian Tan Buddha in Ngong Ping Village in the morning.

8. In which Canadian province was the starting line for this second "Amazing Race Canada"?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [1]

Answer: Alberta

Being sent onto the course from the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park, Alberta, teams were told to hop into their brand-new Chevy Tahoes and drive themselves more than three hundred kilometers to Calgary, Alberta. Once there, they had to locate Winsport's Canada Olympic Park, home of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games and the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. Here, teams had to ascend to the top of the ski jump and ride Canada's fastest zipline to the bottom to receive their next clue from Canadian silver-medal Olympian Helen Upperton.

9. How many teams completed the 'Master Chef' Detour option in Hong Kong in Leg 3?

From Quiz Detours of "The Amazing Race Canada 2"

Answer: Two

Visiting Hong Kong, China in Leg 3, teams had an opportunity to engage in either the city's culinary ventures or its cultural history. In 'Master Chef', teams headed to Alvin Leung's modern restaurant and had to search the Wan Chai Wet Market for items on a shopping list to get their next clue. Sukhi and Jinder and Laura and Jackie did this. All other teams finished 'Kung Fu Master' in which they had to memorize a kung fu routine to the satisfaction of their trainer. Natalie and Meghan did not complete either task, instead deciding to use their Express Pass to skip it.

10. Which team member did not build a Tofino deck chair on the beach in Leg 2, instead taking a penalty?

From Quiz Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race Canada 2"

Answer: Bob

This task was attempted by Natalie, Alain, Bob, Pete, Cormac, Michel, Jinder, Laura, and Ryan. In this one, after team members attempted to surf on North Chesterman Beach, one member of each pair had to head to the south end of the beach for a Road Block task in which they had to construct a traditional Tofino deck chair using driftwood, netting, and rope. Bob opted to take a four hour penalty for not completing the task (though he seemed to have it right at the time) while neither Jen nor Shawn completed the task after an injury on the water forced their early elimination.

11. In Leg 11, teams needed to serve birthday treats from what well-known fast-food chain?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [6]

Answer: Dairy Queen

Arriving in Shediac, New Brunswick, teams had to locate a local Dairy Queen restaurant, dress in uniforms, and take the orders of families celebrating Acadian birthday parties outside. Once they made the proper Blizzards and ice cream cakes for the patrons waiting, they would be given their next clue. This told teams to drive themselves to the Albert County Museum in Hopewell Cape where their next clue would be in one of the open buildings-- specifically the courthouse.

12. At the Road Block in Normandy, France, team members had to work with which beverage?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [4]

Answer: Brandy

At the Calvados Boulard Distillery, teams found their Road Block task and the selected member needed to grab a glass. Heading into the warehouse, they had to locate a barrel and take a sample. Then, they had to use proper tools and formulae provided via example to distill the beverage to an alcohol per volume level of 40%. Only when the math checked out would they receive their next clue. Meaghan, Pierre, Pete, Jinder, Audrey, and Ryan completed this task.

13. Which "MasterChef Canada" judge appeared during the 'Master Chef' Detour task in Leg 3?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [2]

Answer: Alvin Leung

After getting their blessings and climbing to the Tian Tan Buddha, teams headed into Hong Kong and reached Wan Chai District to find a Detour task waiting in front of a golden dragon statue. This gave teams a choice between 'Master Chef' and 'Kung Fu Master'. In 'Master Chef', teams needed to visit Bo Innovations, the restaurant of Alvin Leung, and purchase ten items for him from a very specific shopping list by heading to the Wan Chai Wet Market. Laura and Jackie and Sukhi and Jinder completed this task. In 'Kung Fu Master', teams had to learn an intricate routine with a martial arts master to carry on. All of the remaining seven teams went with this task.

14. To which British Columbian city did teams travel in Leg 1?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [1]

Answer: Victoria

After completing the zipline, teams had to drive themselves to the airport to secure seats on one of three flights heading to Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia. Four teams would take the first flight, three would take the third, and four would take the final one. Upon their arrival, they needed to hop into taxis which would take them to their next destination, the Viscount Aero Center in Sidney, where their next clue would be found in a compartment of a restored Fleet Model 10D biplane.

15. In Leg 11, all four remaining teams chose what nautical-themed Detour option?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [6]

Answer: 'By Sea'

Finding their clue in the museum courthouse, teams were given a Detour task, a choice between 'By Land' and 'By Sea'. In 'By Land', teams needed to drive to drive to a nearby forest and, using a GPS locator, find ten different geocaches, returning with a souvenir from each to get their next clue. In 'By Sea', teams instead headed to the Hopewell Rocks where, using a box of nautical flags, seven phrases, and a codebook down the beach, properly spell out the phrases in maritime signals. When they had them in the right order they could continue. All four teams chose 'By Sea'.

16. Which team claimed the nude painting Fast Forward in Quebec in Leg 9?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [5]

Answer: Sukhi and Jinder

Reaching an intersection in front of Atwater Market, teams located the elusive Fast Forward clue. For this one, they had to head to the Parisian Laundry in Montreal to participate as models in an art class. Little did teams know, as they had their sketches taken by local artists, they would need to take off more and more clothes until, by the end, they would be posing nude. Although Ryan and Rob joined the task after, it was Sukhi and Jinder who won the task, subsequently winning the leg for Jinder's birthday.

17. The 'Show It' Detour task in France in Leg 7 required that teams work with which animals?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [4]

Sukhi and Jinder, Audrey and Alain, Mickey and Pete, and Ryan and Rob did this. In 'Tell It', teams headed to the Musée de la Tapisserie de Bayeux to learn the story of the Bayeux Tapestry and properly tell a story with pictures of tapestry fragments, placing them in order to get their clue. Natalie and Meaghan and Pierre and Michel did this.

18. Which team was forced to complete a Speed Bump in the Yukon in Leg 5?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [3]

Answer: Sukhi and Jinder

Immediately after the Detour, Sukhi and Jinder were required to complete a Speed Bump task since they placed last in the previous non-elimination leg. For this task, they had to take their Chevrolet Silverado, hitch a trailer to the back, and drive it twelve and a half kilometers to the Whitehorse Copper Trail to back it into a parking spot before they could continue on with the race. In the meantime, the other teams drove themselves to Grey Mountain.

19. Which team utilized an Express Pass during Leg 3?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [2]

Answer: Natalie and Meghan

Natalie and Meaghan, who won the Express Pass for placing first in Leg 1, ended up using their advantage in Leg specifically to skip the 'Kung Fu Master' Detour option in Hong Kong. This, allegedly, was due to an unaired Double U-Turn appearing in this leg. As a result, the two were able to skip the race's second Detour and head to Hilliard Street in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong for their next route marker.

20. In the 'Ride a Sled' Detour task in Leg 5, teams needed to complete the task in what Canadian territory?

Flying eight time zones across the Pacific Ocean, teams headed to the Yukon to complete their tasks in Leg 5, approaching a pair of mountaineering tasks. From Quiz Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race Canada 2"

Answer: Macau

22. Which team member did not complete the rappelling/climbing Road Block task in Leg 11?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [6]

Answer: Rob

Following the Detour, teams needed to drive themselves to the cliffs overlooking Cape Enrage, New Brunswick on the edge of the Bay of Fundy. There, teams found a late-leg Road Block requiring that one member of each team participate. In this case, the four racers joining up were specified in the clue to even out the amount of Road Blocks completed going into the final leg. Natalie, Mickey, Ryan, and Sukhi were told to rappel down the side of the cliffs to get half of their clue then, after racing along the rocks below, climb up another cliff face nearby to get the other half and return to their partner.

23. In Asnelles, France in Leg 7, teams took to the beach to participate in what activity?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [4]

Answer: Land sailing

After the Detour, teams drove to Asnelles to find their next task waiting on the beach. Here, after suiting up in protective gear, both members had to complete ten laps on a round course in the sand while riding in land-sailers, riding around using the wind to guide them. Once this was completed, teams could proceed to the Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery where, after spending time amongst the graves of fallen Canadian WWII soldiers, they would be given further instruction.

24. The Road Block in Leg 5 forced team members to participate in which complicated sporting event?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [3]

Answer: Biathlon

Reaching Grey Mountain, teams located their Road Block task for this leg of the race: a biathlon. For this task, the chosen member had to bike one kilometer through the forest, back to their starting point. Then, they received five bullets with which they had to hit five targets. If they did not hit all five, they could take another loop around the course to receive five more bullets to hit the rest, repeating until they finished. Ryan, Alain, Nicole, Natalie, Pete, Sukhi, Pierre, and Rex completed this task.

25. During the Road Block on Hilliard Street in Leg 3, team members had to eat parts of which animal?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [2]

Answer: Snake

Arriving at Hilliard Street, teams found a Road Block which required that one member of each pair indulge in a local delicacy-- several different parts of a snake. First, the racer had to help prepare a shot of bile harvested directly from a living snake's gallbladder and then drink it down. Then, the racer had to have an entire bowl of snake skin soup, made fresh. When both of these were downed, the participating member would be handed their next clue. Meaghan, Nicole, Pierre, Mickey, Rob, Bob, Alain, Sukhi, and Jackie completed this task. After this, all teams had to work for a movie director in front of Bruce Lee's statue on the Avenue of Stars.

26. In Leg 5 in the Yukon, teams completing the Road Block were asked which qualifying question?

From Quiz Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race Canada 2"

Answer: 'Who's got a steady hand?'

In the fifth leg of the race, team members heading into the Road Block were asked to participate in the biathlon, a gruelling half-biking/half-shooting event in which the racers had to test aim and endurance. Ryan, Alain, Nicole, Natalie, Pete, Sukhi, Pierre, and Rex ended up joining this task, receiving five shots for each one kilometer course they too through the woods. Nicole, who arrived last to the Pit Stop with Cormac, ended up taking twenty-two attempts to complete the challenge, resulting in their elimination. Others, like Alain and Sukhi, ended up completing the task on their first or second go-around, in turn forcing Natalie and Meghan out of the lead position at the Pit Stop for the first time.

27. Which team was eliminated in Leg 11?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [6]

Answer: Sukhi and Jinder

After completing the Road Block, teams were told to climb to the top of a nearby tower where one team member would need to properly harness the other and both would complete a zipline to the next Pit Stop-- the lighthouse at Cape Enrage. Here, Natalie and Meaghan reclaimed their first place position (their seventh of the race), winning a trip for two to any American destination courtesy of Air Canada (and $5,000 spending money). In the end, Sukhi and Jinder made too many missteps in this penultimate leg, sending them to fourth place and edging them out of the final three.

28. Which team was the last to arrive at the Pit Stop in Quebec in Leg 9?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [5]

Answer: Ryan and Rob

After the detour, teams received one final clue in front of the Metro Station outside Square-Victoria before heading to the ninth Pit Stop of the race, the Belvedere at the Montreal Science Center. On the roof of this building, Sukhi and Jinder took their first-ever victory (thanks to the Fast Forward) winning a trip for two to Milan, Italy from Air Canada and an additional $3,000. In the end, Ryan and Rob were unable to catch up to the other teams, checking in later into the night. Fortunately, they once again checked in at a non-elimination Pit Stop.

29. Which team was last to arrive at the Pit Stop in France in Leg 7?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [4]

Answer: Ryan and Rob

After contemplating amongst the graves at the Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery, teams were given a Lest We Forget card and told to deliver it to a soldier at the Juno Beach Centre in Courseulles-sur-Mer, France. The soldier would then direct teams to the beach proper to check in at the Pit Stop. Here, Natalie and Meaghan reclaimed their first place position, arriving to win a trip for two to anywhere in Europe courtesy of Air Canada (and an additional $3,000). After getting lost too many times, Ryan and Rob ended up arriving in last but were, consequently, saved by a non-elimination leg.

30. Which team was eliminated from the race in the Yukon in Leg 5?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 2" [3]

Answer: Cormac and Nicole

After the Road Block, teams were told to drive to the red trail off Chadburn Lake Road in Whitehorse where they would be able to locate their next clues in canoes. Here, they were told to portage down the nearby trail to the Yukon River and paddle a kilometer downstream to their next Pit Stop. Here, Alain and Audrey arrived in first place becoming the first team to overthrow Natalie and Meaghan's four-leg winning streak. As a result they won two tickets to a tropical destination from Air Canada and an extra $3,000. In the end, after twenty-someodd laps at the biathlon track, it was Cormac and Nicole who arrived last, becoming the fourth eliminated team.
