Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. To which Quebec city did teams fly during Leg 9?

Answer: Montreal

At the start of Leg 9, the five remaining teams needed to make their way out of Paris, departing from a vantage point in front of the Eiffel Tower and heading to the Charles de Gaulle Airport to fly to Montreal, one of the largest cities in Quebec. Upon landing at the airport in Dorval, teams needed to race through the terminal to find the Air Canada Priority Check-In Counter where they would be handed their next clue-- a piece of Route Info sending them across the city to Mirabel International Airport.
2. During the Road Block in Quebec in Leg 9, team members had to operate which of these?

Answer: Cars

Reaching Mirabel Airport, teams located their next clue box at Circuit ICAR, a test track for stunt driving. Here, one member of each team needed to be selected to perform two stunts, the first being a quarter drift and the second being a one-hundred-eighty-degree turn. Only when the selected member completed the task (in the rain) would they be able to continue on. Meaghan, Mickey, Jinder, Rob, and Alain completed this high-speed, yet tricky task before returning to their partners and taking a cab to Atwater Market.
3. Which team claimed the nude painting Fast Forward in Quebec in Leg 9?

Answer: Sukhi and Jinder

Reaching an intersection in front of Atwater Market, teams located the elusive Fast Forward clue. For this one, they had to head to the Parisian Laundry in Montreal to participate as models in an art class. Little did teams know, as they had their sketches taken by local artists, they would need to take off more and more clothes until, by the end, they would be posing nude.

Although Ryan and Rob joined the task after, it was Sukhi and Jinder who won the task, subsequently winning the leg for Jinder's birthday.
4. Teams completing the Detour in Leg 9 (in Quebec) could either create class beads or eat which of the following foods?

Answer: Grilled Cheese

Teams not completing the Fast Forward still had to complete a Detour task, so their choice involved either 'Flamed' or 'Grilled'. In 'Flamed', Audrey and Alain headed to an art gallery to learn how to craft glass beads by melting rods. Once they created five beads to match a sample necklace, they could receive their next clue.

In 'Grilled', teams instead headed to the riverside to taste-test ten different types of grilled cheese, all made with distinct Quebec cheeses. When they could memorize all ten and pick them out of a nearby blind taste-test by name, they could continue on. Mickey and Pete, Natalie and Meaghan, and Ryan and Rob completed this task.
5. Which team was the last to arrive at the Pit Stop in Quebec in Leg 9?

Answer: Ryan and Rob

After the detour, teams received one final clue in front of the Metro Station outside Square-Victoria before heading to the ninth Pit Stop of the race, the Belvedere at the Montreal Science Center. On the roof of this building, Sukhi and Jinder took their first-ever victory (thanks to the Fast Forward) winning a trip for two to Milan, Italy from Air Canada and an additional $3,000.

In the end, Ryan and Rob were unable to catch up to the other teams, checking in later into the night. Fortunately, they once again checked in at a non-elimination Pit Stop.
6. To which maritime city did teams need to fly in Leg 10?

Answer: Charlottetown

At the start of Leg 10, teams made their way out of Montreal in the early morning hours and took an Air Canada flight eastward to the maritime province of Prince Edward Island, landing in its capital city, Charlottetown. Upon arrival, teams needed to find a clue in the hidden console of their Chevrolet Impalas, then drive themselves to the Red Shore Racetrack where, at the paddock, one team member needed to wear blinders and pull a sulky containing their partner.

They could swap roles at any time, but they would only continue the race after two laps.
7. In Leg 10, teams completing the Road Block had to memorize the names and attributes of how many Confederation figures?

Answer: Ten

After their race-within-a-race, teams had to drive to Province House, the site of the signing of Canada's Confederation. Here, five team members took part in a Road Block task. For this one, the selected team members (Meaghan, Pete, Sukhi, Ryan, and Alain) had to speak to people outside the building to gather information and names of ten men inside the main hall of Province House.

Then, they had to properly identify all ten to be handed their next clue by a Sir John A. MacDonald impersonator. After this, teams needed to drive to the North River Petro-Canada station to fill up and receive their next clue.
8. During the Speed Bump task in Leg 10, one team needed to dig through a pile of manure to find which of these?

Answer: Bottles of moonshine

After filling their gas tanks, teams had to drive onward to P.E.I.'s north shores, finding a clue box outside the former house of author Lucy Maud Montgomery. There, Ryan and Rob, who placed last in the previous leg, needed to complete their Speed Bump task. For this one, the duo had to suit up in protective gear and wade through a gigantic pile of steaming manure to dig for three large bottles of moonshine, hearkening back to the days of prohibition.

When they located all three they were able to claim their Detour clue.
9. In Leg 10, all five participating teams took which Detour option?

Answer: 'Mussels'

Arriving at Lucy Maud Montgomery's House, teams selected a Detour option-- 'Mass' or 'Mussels'. In 'Mass', teams needed to head to a local potato farm and, using proper tools, determine the mass of all potatoes found in a large warehouse. Instead of this, all five teams opted to visit Prince Edward Aqua Farms where, suiting up, they had to properly remove strings of mussels from large socks, emptying them into the provided bins and cleaning up afterward.

When they properly cleared their allotted amount, they could proceed onward.
10. Which team was eliminated in Atlantic Canada in Leg 10?

Answer: Alain and Audrey

Following the Detour, teams needed to make their way to the race's tenth Pit Stop by driving to the town of Rustico and locating the field behind the Farmers' Bank. There, in a narrow footrace, Sukhi and Jinder won their second leg in a row, barely defeating Natalie and Meaghan to the mat.

This time, the brother and sister won a trip for two to anywhere in Canada courtesy of Air Canada in addition to $5,000 of prize money. In the end, Ryan and Rob overtook Alain and Audrey at the Detour and saved themselves once again; the recently-engaged couple ended up arriving last and were eliminated from the race.
