Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Pretty 'and the' Monster

Answer: Beauty and the Beast

So many variations of this romantic story, including a television series. My favorite would still be the cartoon version in 1991 with Robby Benson voicing 'the Beast' and Paige O'Hara voicing the character of Belle, our French gal that loves to read.

Emma Watson moved on from her "Harry Potter" character of Hermione Granger, to play the role of Belle in the 2017 version. Jacqueline Durran won an Oscar for Best Costume Design in the movie also.

A beautiful love story that proves that love is in the eye of the beholder and kindness is beautiful.
2. The 'animal that roars' and NOT the queen.

Answer: The Lion King

In 1994 we met the little cub, Simba. He made so many friends and got married to his love, Nala. He ventured on into "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride", where he learned how to be a father. In 2019 Disney created a new form of "The Lion King" with James Earl Jones voicing Mufasa for the third time.

"The Lion King" is also a musical and has played on Broadway. I saw the Disney version in Disney World at the Animal Kingdom.

As they say, "I just can't wait to be King..." or in my case, "Queen".
3. Ivory colored, animal that hops

Answer: The White Rabbit

"Alice In Wonderland" met many people in her adventures. The White Rabbit was always in a hurry and checking his watch. She also met Tweedledee and Tweedledum along with the nasty Queen of Hearts who screams "Off with their heads!"
4. Who goes down with the ship AND what you put on your fishing rod.

Answer: Captain Hook

In the movie, "Peter Pan", Wendy and her two brothers, Michael and John, visit Neverland. Of course we see little Tinker Bell also. You can visit Tink in Disneyland and have your picture taken with her. The Peter Pan ride flies over London as you start and can be found in Fantasyland. You'll also see Smee and Captain Hook.
5. Looking for and discovering AND a short nickname for Doris.

Answer: Finding Dory

"Finding Nemo" came out in 2003. The animated movie was about a clown fish, Nemo, who decided to venture outside the "safe zone". The next thing you know, he's on an adventure around the waters and eventually meets Dory, a blue tang fish.

Part 2, "Finding Dory" is a continuation where Dory goes on an adventure looking for her family. I'm not one to spoil surprises. Watch yourself.
6. Work with me on this one. You go to the ____ to see the animals. Sounds like a number between one and three Ms. Zadora is an actress Combine all three parts into one word.

Answer: Zootopia

What an adorable movie, but the sloths make it. Judy is our hero in the movie, she's a police officer on a mission. Ginnifer Goodwin voiced the character of Judy the rabbit. She's also been in movies such as "Walk the Line" and "Mona Lisa Smiles".

In regards to the slow sloths, they are hilarious, especially the part where he gets a joke. Too cute and one of my favorite Disney movies.
7. A type of flower (he loves me, loves me not) AND an animal that quacks.

Answer: Daisy Duck

Mickey had Minnie and well, all the princesses had princes so Donald needed a little loving too. In 1940 they created the role of Daisy and she first appeared in "Mr. Duck Steps Out".

When you head into Disney properties the main characters are usually, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy. I would guess that Pluto would be the next most famous followed by Chip and Dale. That's not etched in gold, not a real statistic - so don't send me a correction. By the way, who is your favorite character?
8. That cold white stuff that falls from the sky in the winter, AND the opposite of the color black.

Answer: Snow White

"I'm wishing..." is the song you hear from Snow White. Her cartoon was the very first full length cartoon film for Disney.

A few facts about her friendly dwarfs. Doc is the boss man and leader of the group. Dopey is a quiet shy one that doesn't have a beard. You'll also see Bashful, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy and Happy. Why do I always forget Happy?
9. I'm a block of ice. I'm not thawed out.

Answer: Frozen

This movie really changed my 58 year old life. No kidding. I used to be stressed and worried about things until I heard the song, "Let It Go" sung by Elsa in the movie. Elsa wanted to see what she could do, since her "secret" was out. My best advice to you is to do the same. No worries, just have fun regardless with your life.

Elsa and Anna were best of friends and sisters in their earlier years but a major event changed everything and suddenly... Nope, watch the movie and tell me if you felt a connection with Elsa.
10. What you see in a thunder storm AND Steve, an actor from 1963 movie, "The Great Escape".

Answer: Lightning McQueen

In the first "Cars" movie we met the new hot rod in town, Lightning gets a big hood. Well a car can't get a big head. He is brought back to reality when he's lost on Route 66 where he meets Doc, The King and many other great car characters.

The movie was such a hit, "Cars 2" and "Cars 3" have been released. Watch out for Tow Mater, he'll get ya jacked up!
