Answer: Jan Arrah

Jan Arrah, aka Element Lad, was introduced in 'Adventure Comics' #307 (1963).
2. When Element Lad first auditioned and joined the Legion, he went by a different name. What was it?

Answer: Mystery Lad

Jan was admitted without any Legionnaires other than Saturn Girl knowing what his actual power was. She vouched for his admittance.
3. What is Element Lad's home planet?

Answer: Trom

Trom is a highly radioactive planet where a very small humanoid population existed in one singular valley of land. All inhabitants eventually developed the ability to transmute elements.

When Kivun Roxxas discovered what powers the people of Trom possessed, and they refused to do his bidding, he murdered them all. He didn't know that Element Lad had secretly been able to escape.
