Answer: D'Lo Brown was the WWE Intercontinental & European Champion

D'Lo Brown was the first person to hold both the WWE Intercontinental and European Championships at the same time. He faced off against Jeff Jarrett who he defeated to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Towards the end of the match, Debra climbed up the apron and distracted the referee and Jarrett.

This act allowed D'Lo's good friend Mark Henry to enter the ring with Jarrett's guitar but instead of hitting Jarrett, Henry hit D'Lo and cost him the match. The next night on "WWE Raw Is War", Jarrett rewarded Henry's betrayal by giving him the WWE European Championship.

The winning tag team would become the # 1 contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Edge & Christian defeated the following teams: The Hardy Boyz, Mideon & Viscera and Droz & Prince Albert. They were defeated by The Acolytes who would go on to win the match after besting the Hollys.

An elated Stephanie McMahon, who was watching backstage, ran down to the ring to celebrate with Test.

When she did so, it was revealed that she had a large hole in her pantyhose. Just as Billy was forcing The Rock's head towards her butt, Rock countered and forced Billy to kiss the woman's butt.

After that, The Rock hit the "Rock Bottom" and the "People's Elbow" to win the match.

Jesse Ventura made his first referee appearance at the first "Summerslam" in 1988. He refereed the main event match between the Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage) and the Mega Bucks (Ted DiBiase and Andre the Giant). Eleven years later, Ventura would referee the main event for the WWE Championship between Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H and Mankind.

This match received a lot of publicity due to the fact that Ventura had just been elected governor of Minnesota, the same state the "Summerslam" 1999 emanated from.
10. Who won the Lion's Den Match between Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman?

Steve Blackman and Ken Shamrock had a storied rivalry which culminated with Blackman hitting Shamrock with his car on an episode of "WWE Raw is War". Shamrock and Blackman met in a Lion's Den Match which took place inside of a circular fenced in structure similar to the one used in Mixed Martial Arts. Coincidentally, Shamrock started out as a MMA fighter before entering professional wrestling. Shamrock defeated Blackman by beating him unconscious with a kendo stick, an object that was frequently used by Blackman in his matches.
