Bella has been a mermaid since she was very young and got the power to turn water into jelly or harden water. She does not use her power unless it is necessary.

Bella meets Cleo and Rikki along the beach one day and the same day Zane buys the Juice Net café and persuades Rikki to join him in running it. He also renames the place Rikki's Café. The same night is a full moon and a strange thing happened at the moon pool.

A strange water tentacle has formed and only attacks mermaids. It then goes to the café and kidnaps Rikki. Cleo jumps in after her and tries to save her and Bella jumps in too and to Cleo's surprise is a mermaid too. They go after Rikki and save her from the tentacle.

The next day they decide to become friends and help each other.

Answer: Will tries to find the entrance to the moon pool to find his torch.

In the episode "The Awakening" Will goes to the moon pool and then his torch gets sucked into a waterfall. He then gets attacked by the water tentacle and gets unconscious. In the episode "Jungle Hunt" he decides to go back and look to see if he can find his torch.

He goes into a flashback but he does not remember what happened to his torch. After that he then leaves and goes back to the mainland.

Answer: He gets attacked by the water tentacle.

Will dives down and sees the underwater entrance to the moon pool. He then decides to explore and finds the cave and everything there. He starts to check out the water when it starts bubbling and a waterfall appears and sucks up his torch and then the water tentacle appears and attacks him, causing him to fall unconscious.

Answer: She almost gets turned into water.

Bella, Rikki, and Cleo decide to join together on the full moon. Will then comes along and asks to talk to Bella. He wants to talk to her outside and she agrees, the girls try to warn her but she says she will be back before the full moon starts. Will and Bella start fighting and during this time at the moon pool the water tentacle forms and goes toward the house. Will then leaves and right when he turns his back the water tentacle kidnaps Bella. Will tries to find her and when he does not he enlists the help of Rikki and Cleo.

They think that she was taken by the water tentacle so they go to the moon pool and see that the tentacle is crawling up her body and find out that the tentacle is actually turning her into water. They then hold the tentacle still until the full moon has passed over Mako Island and the tentacle disappears.

Answer: Swears to keep it a secret.

Will is talking with Bella in his house when Will starts to talk about Bella's "fear" of water. So to figure out what is wrong he takes her hand and pours some water on her hand. Bella stares at him with a hurt expression and then runs out and jumps into the water with Will right behind her. Will sees her tail in the water and figures out that she is a mermaid.

They then go back inside and Bella tells Will about how she became a mermaid. The next day Bella is in school when Will wants to talk to her and tells Bella that he has decided to keep her secret and also to start a real relationship between them.

In episode 10 of season 3 when Bella is talking about how she became a mermaid, she says "I was nine years old... and I found this cave... and something magical happened... and then I had a tail."

Answer: It makes mermaids sneeze and when they do it triggers their powers.

Will try's out his new perfume, but when Bella smells it at his house she sneezes and Will's water turns into Jelly. Bella does not know what happened but doesn't think much about it. When she goes to the café where she plays for the restaurant she sneezes and everybody's drink turns into jelly. Bella then gets a talk from Sophie saying she is not allowed to sing until she is better.

At the end of the episode Rikki shows up with the solution and Will stops putting on the perfume. After that Bella is fine again and now can sing as well as before.

Answer: A comet coming to destroy Mako Island.

After they are in the water the slide show starts and shows them a comet hitting the earth right where Mako Island is. The girls don't get to see the entire thing because Will and Lewis appear. They think that it was showing them how Mako Island came to be but are not sure so they come back later on to see the entire thing and figure out that a comet is actually being magnetically pulled towards Earth to destroy Mako Island.

Answer: They combine their powers and prevent Mako Island from being destroyed.

On the day the comet hits the girls wait in the moon pool for the comet and then decide that somehow they are supposed to create some kind of beam that will hit the comet and change its course. They go into the moon pool and combine their powers to create a huge cyclone that goes up and hits the comet, redirecting its path towards Mako Island.

The girls, then completely exhausted, fall down into the water and get "stunned" for a bit. They then come back out of the water and smile to each other and say "We stopped the comet".

The next day they graduate with their diplomas for passing their exams.
