Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What did the dragon take from the kids?

Answer: Their hearts

David and the other watched as four rubies emerged from the dragon's immense pile of treasures. Each ruby was the size of a... human heart. The kids watched in horror as their hearts appeared in the rubies. David felt a stillness in his chest. The dragon gave them six days to collect his treasure before their hearts would be burned.
2. Which piece of the dragon's treasure was not stolen?

Answer: A crown

Nidhoggr the dragon told David, Christopher, April, and Jalil that leprechauns had stolen four pieces of his most beloved treasure. They stole the Four Talismans of the Tuatha De Danann: The Sword of Nuadhu, the Stone of Fal, the Cauldron of Daghdha (which he considered his most precious treasure), and the Spear of Lugh. Each piece had magical powers, especially the cauldron, which supposedly gave endless youth.
3. Why didn't the dragon take the treasure back himself?

Answer: He feared a trap set by the leprechauns

The kids wondered how such small creatures such as leprechauns could have stolen anything from such a large, dangerous dragon. Then Jalil realized that the dragon had grown too large to escape his cave, and the leprechauns must have known he would be unable to chase them down.

However, Nidhogger was able to fly out of his cave. He confirmed with David that he suspected the leprechauns had set a trap for him.
4. What did David and the others save the nymph from in the forest?

Answer: A trio of satyrs

Three satyrs were chasing a blazingly fast wood nymph through the forest. They were all drunk and wanted to attack the short, green nymph. David pulled out Galahad's sword and chopped one of the satyrs in half. The kids were shocked when the satyr's lower half kept running amok.
5. David met a mysterious woman while in the real world. What did she tell him?

Answer: "The dark ones are close"

David was supposed to be on guard duty as his friends slept, but he fell asleep. He of course woke up in the real world and almost got in a car accident. He pulled over to the side of the road to calm himself down. David looked up and saw a middle-aged, overweight woman.

She asked him to come inside and when he didn't she touched his hand, gave him a concerned look, and said "The dark ones are close." She also said that David must close the gateway.
6. The kids had to reach Fairy Land to find the dragon's treasure. They found a road that would take them right to it. What was not one of the names of the road?

Answer: Runner's Pass

Idalia was grateful for the kids saving her, so she offered to guide them to Fairy Land. She traveled far too fast for them, so she would appear every hour or so to make sure they were going the right direction. Eventually they found a road to travel on, one that Idalia was forbidden to walk on.

It was called a number of names: Valley Road, Oberon's Path, Roman High Road, and the Fairy Road.
7. Who did Idalia seem most interested in?

Answer: Jalil

Idalia, the wood nymph the kids rescued, constantly flirted with Jalil. She stayed close to him and was sad when she felt his chest, which had no beat due to Nidhoggr taking his heart. Jalil learned that Idalia was essentially an automaton- the only things she was programmed to do was get chased by satyrs and fall in love with humans.
8. Which kid ratted out the witch to the leprechaun king?

Answer: Senna

To everyone's surprise, Senna burst out saying that April was a witch. She explained that Loki was looking for her and his price for her would be great. The leprechaun king and queen took April away from the others. Once again, Senna, the real witch, had tricked them all.
9. What did Jalil essentially invent while in Everworld?

Answer: The telegraph

David and Jalil knew they had to earn an extreme amount of money to ransom April. The kids let a rich man, named Ambrigar, listen to April's CD player, and the sound greatly interested him. Jalil explained that with his help, he could create a device that allowed residents of Everworld to communicate with one another. Ambrigar agreed to finance Jalil's idea, buying anything he needed to create the telegraph.
10. Which kid got violently sick?

Answer: David

While walking back to Nidhoggr, David took a break and fell asleep. When he woke up he realized he had the chills, even though it wasn't cold out. He rolled onto his knees and threw up everywhere. David also had diarrhea and kept passing out. However, he fought through the illness and managed to reach Nidhoggr in time to save himself and his friends.
