Feegles rarely have daughters, because, as with bees, having multiple queens (Keldas, for Feegle) could lead to trouble.

2. What job did the toad have as a human?

Answer: A lawyer

The toad was a lawyer to a client of a fairy godmother, who had recently given her client the 'health, wealth, and happiness" package, and the client woke up one morning and didn't feel very happy. The client had the toad charge him with breach of contract, and she turned him into a toad and the client into a hand mirror. Then the judge applauded.

3. What was the highest prize at the sheep dog trials?

Answer: Granny Aching nodding and saying "That'll do".

Granny Aching was the Trials. Her two sheepdogs, Thunder and Lightning, were the best on the Chalk. So if she said that a shepherd was even just ok, that shepherd felt like he owned the Chalk for a while.

Answer: The baron's son

Roland is something of an idiot, although he can be helpful at times. People believe that he was eaten by Mrs. Snapperly, but he was really captured by the Queen of the Elves.

Wentworth is a permanently sticky child who doesn't think about much when in the presence of sweets. He is the bait Tiffany uses so she can bash Jenny Green-Teeth with a frying pan.

Granny is a character from the adult books who also appears in the kids' books. She is the strongest witch on the Disk, and can Borrow (ride in the mind of) any animal.

Rob Anybody is Big Man, or male leader, of the Chalk Hill Clan. He is smarter than most of the Feegle, and is constantly making Daft Wullie stop talking.

Answer: A witch

Miss Tick is a witch and a teacher, and she believes that her name is a good witch name because it sounds like "mystic". However, Tiffany thinks she means tick as in the bloodsucking animal, which annoyed Miss Tick considerably. She has a stealth pointy hat, which rises when you hit a switch.

9. What is/are a Feegle's favorite thing(s)?

Answer: Stealing, Drinking, and Fighting

The Feegle like all three things, which is why they yell this when Rob keeps asking them what they like, as a sort of chant.

At Quirm College for Young Ladies, Miss Tick had to take a daily swim, fully clothed, in the pond. This taught her how to survive Witch Dunkings.
