Answer: Utah

Utah is a state in the western United States and was admitted to the Union in 1896. The beehive was adopted as the official state emblem in 1959, but had been associated with the state as far back as 1848 with the proposed provisional State of Deseret.

2. The Greek god Zeus was born and kept hidden in a cave on the island of Crete. He was cared for by Amalthea, often depicted as a goat and by the nymph Melissa who fed him honey. Why was he born in such humble surroundings?

Answer: To prevent his father from devouring him

Zeus, the king of the gods, was not the first born of Cronus and Rhea. Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Poseidon were born before Zeus, but swallowed by Cronus after their birth to prevent the fulfillment of a prophecy stating that Cronus would be overthrown by one of his sons. Rhea fooled Cronus into swallowing a rock wrapped in swaddling cloth and Zeus was born and hidden on the island of Crete. Once grown, Zeus overthrew Cronus and freed his siblings from his belly.

3. The "Beehive Cluster", first observed by Galileo in 1609, is one of the closest star clusters to our solar system. In which constellation, the only one that is part of the zodiac, can it be found?

Answer: Cancer

The Beehive Cluster, also known as Praesepe, is an open cluster found in the constellation of Cancer. It was first observed by telescope by Italian astronomer Galileo in 1609, but has featured in writings by ancient astronomer Ptolemy (c.AD 100 - c.AD 170). It is one of the closest open clusters to our solar system and is approximately 600 million years old, which is fairly young by comparison to our own Sun which is 4.5 billion years old.

Of the four options, Cancer is the only constellation that is part of the zodiac.

The 'beehive' was in 1960 by a hairdresser Margaret Vinci Heldt from Illinois. The hair is piled up on the head in a conical shape. It was named the 'beehive' by a reporter for "Modern Beauty Salon" magazine, due to a bee-shaped hat pin that Heldt placed on her original design.
