Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Jimaninos resemble pudgy, winged children. They hail from Central America. What do these small Fae help the Goddess do?

Answer: Turn the Wheel of the Year

Jimaninos (Jimaninas for female Fae) shy away from people until El Dia de Muerte or the Day of the Dead. On this day they pull pranks on mortals, play in cemeteries and dance in the streets.
2. Kolbalds are known as what in Scandinavian?

Answer: Hutchens

Kolbalds are nasty little Fae who only help mortals if they feel like it. You can recognize one by the pipe they carry in their mouths. They never smoke it though, in fact smoke annoys them very much.
3. Fireesin help man in what way?

Answer: Farming

Fireesin are known for their nude bodies which are covered in coarse patches of brown hair. They are easily offended and will destroy your crops in the wake of their fury.
4. Formorians are grotesquely misshapen, with body parts made out of leftover animal parts. What faerie race banished them from Ireland?

Answer: Tuatha De Danann

Formorians were driven into the sea by the Tuatha De Danann. After this, people in Ireland said they could see them climbing onto the shores at night, which is the only time the Formorians can leave the sea.
5. Beansidhe is known in Welsh as Gwarch y Rhibyn. What does this translate into?

Answer: Hag of the Dribble

Beansidhe announces the death of a person. Supposedly she is from Tir-na-nog, which was once known as the "land of the women."
6. Ankou comes from what part of the world?

Answer: Brittany

Ankou is the personified version of death. He would be equal to what we call the Grim Reaper, Father Time or Death. An old Irish proverb goes: "When Ankou comes, he will not go away empty."
7. Dinnshenchans serve which Goddess?

Answer: Aine

Shrines of Aine are found in Kilkenny. That is where you can find these dwarf-like faeries.
8. Naturally, Dracs are in the form of purple blobs floating over water. What is another form they take?

Answer: A chalice

More often that not, Dracs change into a golden chalice hovering over water so as to lure men to pick them up. When a man does, they drag him under the water, drowning him.
9. Gruagach is a solitary female Fae who is grotesque looking, but extremely kind. She leads cattle to water and protects the cattle from what vile fae?

Answer: Buachailleen

Gruagach always carries a shepherd's staff and likes to be around people as little as possible.
10. Korreds are also known in Cornwall as what?

Answer: Pyrenee

Korred feed upon ground-up metal, and originated in Brittany.
