Writer and illustrater Barbara Cooney (1917-2000) won two Caldecot Awards (she won for "Chanticleer and the Fox" and "Ox-Cart Man") for best children's book. She has illustrated books for very distinguished writers such as Aldous Huxley, Sarah Orne Jewett, and Donald Hall (who wrote "Ox-Cart Man.") Toward the end of her career she began writing more of the material for her illustrations. Warren Beatty stars as Clyde Barrow in Arthur Penn's 1967 film "Bonnie and Clyde." Faye Dunaway co-stars as Bonnie Parker. The movie somewhat romantized the two cold blooded notorious murderers.

Errol Flynn stars as Dr. Peter Blood who is convicted of treason for saving the life of a rebel to the king. He is sentenced to die, but he is spared death and shipped to Jamaica and sold into slavery. He soon escapes and becomes a pirate. Olivia De Havilland co-stars as Arabella Bishop, the woman who saved Flynn from his death sentence.

He is the father of David Carradine (who starred in "Bound For Glory") and Keith Carradine (who starred in "Nashville") and Robert Carradine (who starred in "Revenge of the Nerds")

The bond is the 1888 poem by Ernest Thayer, "Casey at the Bat." The clues include the poem's author Ernest Thayer. (1) The poem is about a baseball game that takes place in the ninth inning, with Casey's team Muddville trailing 4-2. (2) Cooney is the first batter in the inning.
