Answer: A cat

It happened on September 19,1783. The Montgolfier brothers were papermakers. The first manned flight was made by two other Frenchmen:J.F.Pilatre de Rozier and the Marquis d'Arlandes. That happened on November 21, 1783.

Queen Victoria lived from 1819 till 1901. Florence Nightingale from 1820 till 1910. Her byname was :the Lady of the Lamp. Edith Cavell was a Norfolk born nurse (1865) and was courtmartialled by the Germans on October 7, and executed on October 9, 1915. Lily Langtry, also known as the Jersey Lily , lived from 1853 till 1929. She was one of the very first society women to go on stage.

Johann Kepler (1571-1630 ,in Regensburg) thought of the sun as being static. Nicolai Copernicus (1473 Torun-Frombork 1543) also saw the sun as a passive, resting element in space. Galileo Galilei (1564 Pisa-1642 near Florence) shared some of Kepler's views. Tycho Brahe(1546-1601) thought that the planets moved around the the sun but that the earth was a static outsider.

From 1113 till 1309, there was the Order of the Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem. That Order became the Knights of Rhodes(1309-1529). The name was changed into Knights of Malta (1530-1798). Then, they got the name of Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta...Their original job was to take care of sick pilgrims.

The Templars were an altogether different lot. Just remember this simile: as drunk as a lord (=a Lord Templar). Templars were founded in 12th century as well.
