1. How do the tiles of the SAME color have to be touching in Blokus?

Answer: Corner to corner.

Tiles of the same color must only touch the corner of another piece of the same color. However, tiles of a different color may touch side to side.

2. How many bonus points do I get if use all my pieces in Blokus?

Answer: 15

If you use all your pieces you get 15 extra points. If the single tile is the last piece to go in you get five more extra points or 20 total.

3. How many squares total are on the board in Blokus?

Answer: 400

It is 20 squares by 20 squares. Trust me, I counted, twice. :) It also says so in the directions.

4. How many Blokus pieces are there total?

Answer: 84

There are 21 pieces of each color. That totals 84 pieces.

5. In Blokus, how many pieces are there with three squares FOR EACH COLOR?

Answer: 2

There are two. One is straight and the other is a small L.

6. In Blokus, how many pieces with five squares are there FOR EACH COLOR?

Answer: 12

These are the most interestingly shaped pieces in the game. They consist of a Z shaped one, a long straight piece and an L.

7. What color plays first in Blokus?

Answer: Blue

Blue is the first to go. To quote the directions: "The first player (blue) places any of his/her pieces in a corner square."

8. Which color goes last in Blokus?

Answer: Green

Green is always the last to go. The order is blue, yellow, red, green.

To get -10 points there are many combinations of pieces that I could have left. Such as two five square pieces, a five square, a two square and a three square, and so on and so forth.
