Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The landing site of the falling star.

Answer: Devil's Elbow

Located a short distance off the coast from the city of Riddleport, Devil's Elbow is a crescent-shaped island that acts as the main destination of the campaign's second chapter, 'Children of the Void'. After the falling star from chapter one lands on this island, a number of prospectors seeking rare skymetal head to the island to mine and prosper, but the otherworldly asteroid causes its own share of problems, and anyone seeking answers to the mystery will need to fight void creatures and, sure enough, more drow hiding in the caves along the shore.

The plot certainly thickens.
2. A demi-plane of shadow magic created to revisit the past.

Answer: The Armageddon Echo

Visited only in the back half of the campaign's third chapter (also called 'The Armageddon Echo'), this magical demi-plane is accessed via a portal in the ruinous academy found in the city of Celwynvian. Inside the echo, visitors will experience the days leading up to the cataclysmic starfall that ruined the Elven city and plunged Golarion into centuries of rebuilding. To escape the starfall, visitors would need to be in close proximity to a magical key. If not, they would get lost with the demi-plane.

The key is in the Observatory, if it helps, protected by a powerful drow sorcerer.
3. The home of the Winter Council.

Answer: Thorn's End

The final destination during a long journey through the Aiduara Gates in "A Memory of Darkness", Thorn's End is a massive castle occupied by the Winter Council, the highest chamber of elven rule led by four representatives. The castle won't be too safe upon arrival. Due to damages sustained to the magical item known as the Maleficus Spike, the building is under threat of being invaded by demons and magical creatures of all sorts, and as it turns out, someone from within the structure might be close to tipping over the edge of insanity.
4. Contains the Shrine of Bound Earth, the Throne of Abraxas, and the Weeping Cliffs.

Answer: The Land of Black Blood

The area visited in the climax of the adventure, The Land of Black Blood has the greatest presence in "Descent into Midnight", the campaign's final chapter, since adventurers will head there, a week's journey into the underground, to find and defeat Allevrah Azrinae.

They can always head straight to her base of operations in the Blood Basilica of the Throne of Abraxas, but true completionists and wise adventurers will know to take a bit of a guided tour to destroy Focus Glyphs, necessary for weakening the Master Glyph created to cause an apocalypse.
5. Home city of the Gold Goblin Casino.

Answer: Riddleport

Riddleport acts as the starting city and home base for any party of explorers in "Second Darkness" being the focal point for the campaign's first chapter, "Shadow in the Sky". Much of this first chapter involves completing tasks for Saul Vancaskerkin, the owner of the Gold Goblin, who's discovered to be working a fair bit for a drow assailant hidden beneath a trap door under the casino.

The party will likely return to the city of Riddleport, a noted thieves city, several times in their travels, though less and less as the campaign moves along.
6. Drow-occupied metropolis deep beneath Golarion.

Answer: Zirnakaynin

Much of the Adventure Path's fourth chapter, "Endless Night", takes heroes deep within Golarion to the home city of the primary antagonists and their general race, the drow. Zirnakaynin, with all respects, is a metropolis, a bustling city built in the caves under the world, and it's home to twelve drow noble houses, one of which will need to be infiltrated in the fourth chapter to gain insight into House Azrinae's plans to cause another Earthfall.

There's not too much time to explore the city; most of the time there will be spent in servitude or running increasingly more dangerous errands, but there's no shortage of fascinating and awe-inspiring wonder in this foreboding cityscape.
7. Elf village found on the edge of the Mierani Forest.

Answer: Crying Leaf

The first destination to head to in the campaign's third chapter, 'The Armageddon Echo', Crying Leaf is the home base for the warriors of the Shin'Rakorath as they seek to defeat the drow forces who've made their home in the Celwynvian region. Here, heroes will meet Elf characters including Eviana and Shalelu as they plan their attacks, and they can rest there under the assumption that they are relatively safe in the company of their new allies.
8. The elven homeland, and the target of Allevrah's plot.

Answer: Kyonin

As discovered in the latter half of the Adventure Path, Allevrah will set her sights on destroying Kyonin, the elf homeland, using the methods that she and the Azrinaes have been perfecting since the shadow appeared over the sky in Riddleport. Kyonin will be first-visited in the Adventure Path's fifth chapter, "A Memory of Darkness", and then likely again at the start of the last one, "Descent into Midnight", before the party descends into the Land of Black Blood to put an end to the apocalypse once and for all.
9. Ruinous city containing an Academy of the Arts and the Library of Dust.

Answer: Celwynvian

Found in the Mierani Forest, Celwynvian was once a powerful elven city, but it fell to ruin over the centuries and became a base of operations for drow forces shortly before the start of the events of "Second Darkness". Visited in the campaign's third chapter, "The Armageddon Echo", heroes need to be summoned there by the Shin'Rakorath, and all raids on the city will inevitably lead to the Academy of the Arts where it's clear that dark magicks have been implemented...but not quite past the point of no return.
10. The elf city and home of Queen Telandia.

Answer: Iadara

Iadara is really only visited at the start of the campaign's fifth chapter, "A Memory of Darkness", as it's the location travellers need to head to if they've received intel from Zirnakaynin. In Iadara, there's a short amount of time to talk to the Elf Queen Telandria before being locked away in jail.

After that, it's a quick jaunt into the Aiudara Gate network. Iadara is a bright and magnificent city with as many austere buildings and verdant forests as you would expect. It's the capital city of Kyonin.
