Lincoln Rhyme is a quadraplegic foresenics expert. His disabilities do not stop his brilliant mind from finding the clues to catch kidnappers and murderers.

Lon is a homicide detective that saved Lincoln from committing suicide by involving him in "The Bone Collector" case; his partner is Roland Bell.
