Carentan was held by some platoons of German 6th Paratrooper Regiment. The area around the town was full of hedges that were providing ideal covers for the Germans. When the Americans attacked on these positions they lost many men, because of strong machine gun and mortar fire. That's why the area, north from Carentan, was named 'Bloody Ravine'.
10. Burgett is injured by enemy grenade, sent to field hospital and later sent by ship back to Aldbourne, to their old camp, to stable no. 13.

Answer: True

During the battle in 'bloody ravine' Burgett gets separated from his company and meets a German soldier that throws a grenade on him and runs away before Burgett will aim his rifle on him. The grenade explodes and hurts Burgett's right hand.
