He is sarcastically referring to Eric's annoying wossname, parrot.

2. Eric's grandfather tried for years to summon a succubus, but only succeeded in summoning a neuralger. What is a neuralger?

Answer: A demon that comes and has a headache at you

Eric didn't exactly summon Rincewind. The Discworld Demons had arranged for Duke Vassenego to be ready and waiting when Eric finally succeeded in opening a circle. However, Rincewind went through first and the circle closed up immediately afterward. Death had said that it would be a million in one chance for Rincewind to escape the Dungeon Dimensions. And of course we know that in the Discworld million in one chances crop up nine times out of ten.

3. Rincewind and Eric meet The Creator.

Answer: False

He is "A" Creator, not "The" Creator. He doesn't contract for the big stuff, he specializes in the bespoke trade. Eric had asked that he live forever, so he is taken to the beginning of the universe.

The Luggage ends up killing the demon Queztlovercoatl (the acting god of the Tezumen) by stepping on him. The demon was after all only six inches high.

Lavaeolus ('Rinser of Winds') is a famous general who won a major war then took ten years to get home. (Sound familiar?) Riinjswin and Winswin are two of the demons in the 'Demonologie'. Rjinswand is the Roundworld alter ego of Rincewind, whose body he inhabits for a short time in 'The Colour of Magic' when the Octavo magically saves him from death after falling off Twoflower's dragon.

6. What city is mentioned in the song sung by the Ephebian soldiers on the beach before returning home?

Answer: Heliodeliphilodelphiboschromenos

When Lavaeolus realizes the soldiers are getting drunk, he says they'll start singing "The Ball of Philodelphus", but Heliodeliphilodelphiboschromenos is actually the city we hear in the song.

Eric had asked Rincewind (who he thought was a demon) for the most beautiful woman in the world. Elenor WAS the most beautiful woman in the world when the siege began. But, "the siege seemed to go on for so long and King Mausoleum was very kind and I never liked it much in Ephebe anyway." The result is seven children and a plump figure with the beginnings of a mustache.

9. Who is the explorer with whom Rincewind and Eric are to be executed by the Tezumen?

Answer: Ponce da Quirm

He was looking for the Fountain of Youth. He was alone in the dungeon when Rincewind was thrown in because the rest of his men had found religion. And so was he, along with Rincewind and Eric. At least he was finding the Tezuman's unique form of religion.

Rincewind was hungry when they arrived at the beginning of the universe, so the creator they meet creates an egg and cress sandwich. Later, Rincewind throws it away. As the first high tide comes in, thousands of bacteria found themselves in the midst of a taste explosion and started to breed like mad. "If there had only been some mayonnaise, life might have turned out a whole lot different.

More piquant, and perhaps with a little extra cream in it."
