Gunilla Goodmountain's printing press is the first in Ankh-Morpork. They offer to do ten copies of one thousand words apiece for only one dollar.
2. What does William de Worde charge for his newsletter?

Answer: 5 dollars

The Lady Margolotta of Uberwald, the Dowager Duchess of Quirm, King Verence of Lancre, and many other Ramtop nobles pay him five dollars for this service. The Seriph of Al-Khali pays him half a cartload of figs for the newsletter, instead of five dollars.
3. What is Mr. Tulip reincarnated as?

Answer: A woodworm

Mr. Tulip was going to just die, but Terry Pratchett's editor kept telling him that Mr. Tulip shouldn't die. She wanted to see him in another book, but instead Terry Pratchett brought him back as a woodworm.
4. Which of these is the motto for the Ankh-Morpork Times that Angua reads?

The motto was supposed to be "The Truth Shall Make Ye Free", but due to a printing error, it was "The Truth Shall Make Ye Fret".

Answer: Lord de Worde

Lord de Worde is William's father. He wanted a different leader in Ankh-Morpork, but without any deaths. He is shocked and gives up when he hears that Mr. Pin tried to kill William. William makes his father leave the city, and give up his schemes, after Otto scares him very badly.
6. What is the name of the fake Vetinari?

Answer: Charlie

Charlie is the shopkeeper who looks like Vetinari, so Mr. Tulip and Mr. Pin make him pretend to be Vetinari.
William is the main character, who runs the Times.
Havelock is the real Vetinari.
Otto is the vampire who take iconographs for the Times.
7. What does membership to the Guild of Engravers and Printers cost?

Answer: 200 dollars

The regular price is 200 dollars, which is what Mr. Carney demands that William pay. However, he also wants to add to it a 2,000 dollar down payment.
8. How much does Mr. Carney offer Sacharissa and Otto if they come and work for the Inquirer?

Answer: 500 dollars

After Mr. Carney offers them this, Otto threatens to break his pledge if he doesn't go away. Mr. Carney leaves quickly after that.

Answer: The Black Ribbon Pledge

The Black Ribboners are a group of vampires who have given up drinking human blood. They still drink the blood of food, but not people-food. Despite this, they are often persecuted like normal vampires.
10. What did Sacharissa hit Ronnie Carney over the head with as a child?

Answer: A wooden cow

According to Sacharissa when she is pointing a pistol bow at Mr. Carney's head, it was a lovely cow, and once she hit him so hard that one of the legs broke off.
