Arnor was founded in 3320 of the 2nd Age of the Sun by Elendil. It was the first kingdom of the Dúnedain in Middle Earth along with Gondor. Gondor and Arnor was founded at the same time. Its first capital was Annúminas on the shores of Lake Evendim. By 861 Fornost had become its major city and capital.
