Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first name tag is actually a banner for the booth where all our characters will be gathering. The banner is for the publisher whom Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman worked when they wrote "Chronicles" and "Legends." What name is on this banner?

Answer: TSR

Wizards of the Coast later bought out TSR, but at the time "Chronicles" and "Legends" were published, Wizards of the Coast had yet to be dreamed up. TSR was the producer of the entire Dungeons & Dragons line.
2. The next name tag goes to the resident poet who produced songs and poetry for both "Chronicles" and "Legends." Whose name tag is it?

Answer: Michael Williams

Michael Williams was the poet laureate for the DragonLance universe. Tracy Hickman was one of the co-creators and Jeff Grubb also wrote several DragonLance novels. R.A. Salvatore writes primarily for the Forgotten Realms universe.
3. The next name tag is for the red-robed mage whose garments steadily darken. He sees the world through hourglass eyes. What name is written there?

Answer: Raistlin

Raistlin came out of his test with golden hourglass eyes that Par-Salian hoped would teach him compassion.
4. Be on your guard when this next name tag is picked up. It'll be worn by a woman with hair of black and dragon of blue. Few men can resist her charms. Who is she?

Answer: Kitiara

Kitiara, half-sister to Caramon and Raistlin, makes a practice of seducing every man she meets. She travels with a blue dragon companion named Skie.
5. Give this name tag to the person who brought back word of ancient gods and became the first true cleric that Krynn had seen for centuries.

Answer: Goldmoon

All of the true clerics (except for Crysania) left Krynn during the Catacyclsm. Goldmoon re-introduced faith in the true gods right before the War of the Lance.
6. Every adventuring party needs a grumpy dwarf. Pity his heart couldn't hold out. I guess we won't need his name tag. Who was he?

Answer: Flint

Flint Fireforge was one of the original companions. He died at the end of "Chronicles" of a heart attack.
7. Hey! Where'd the next name tag go? It was here a minute ago. Go see if that guy with the top-knot took it. Who is that anyway?

Answer: Tasslehoff

Tasslehoff Burrfoot, the indomitable kender, has a habit of picking up and borrowing things that aren't his. Indeed, he does it to anything that isn't nailed down.
8. This name tag is for a big guy, though he's not as dumb as he looks. Let's call him deliberate. Besides, anyone would seem a little slow next to his twin. Who is this tag for?

Answer: Caramon

Caramon was often thought of as the big, dumb fighter--and often thought of himself that way. He's actually very intelligent, he just carefully weighs all his options before speaking.
9. This name tag is for the Golden General who is in love with a very indecisive half-elf. That flash has blinded me, can you make out the name?

Answer: Laurana

Laurana earned the moniker Golden General for her courageous defense of Palanthas.
10. Careful with that final name tag. Make sure you don't give it to the wrong person. One of the Heroes of the Lance traveled back through time to kill him, the greatest mage who ever lived. There's been some confusion since then about exactly who he is. What name is it?

Answer: Fistandantilus

Raistlin goes back in time to apprentice to Fistandantilus and then kill him. There is a huge fight between them after which it is ambiguous whether the winner was Raistlin or Fistandantilus. Most likely it was Raistlin, but he came out something less than himself.
