Decades of exposure to the time-slowing spell placed on the Palace of the Prophets has her looking younger than her actual age of over 150. She is a skilled magic-user with a stubborn, though caring personality and over time becomes a strong ally of Richard Rahl. Siuan Sanche, Moiraine Damodred, and Cadsuane Melaidhrin are all members of the Aes Sedai in "The Wheel of Time", an organization of female magic users. Siuan and Moraine are members of the Blue Ajah grouping, described as being focused on "causes" and Cadsuane is a member of the Green (or "battle") Ajah. As with all Aes Sedai, the effects of magic grant them an extended lifespan and slowed aging.
